Predicatable when I saw our starting eleven. Some is on the manager not undertstanding his squad and some is on lack of options. Interested to see his plan for the second half. At times we look like a pub team without the fight!

Oxford work so hard to stop the cross. We invite the cross! Have all the space you like out wide and pick your man.

pathetic.  Worst team I have ever seen in Charlton shirts.  First game was 1968 and this is total crap.  As bad as it gets?  Sadly, Probably not……..
  • I feel instant relief when the half time whistle blows.

I’m all for throwing the kids in but not all at once.

Highlight of half was Stockleys cross field pass. Great time to be alive

    Dean Holden at half time:
'You beat Plymouth 5-1 so you're good players.
If you don't know what you're supposed to be doing we'll go over it in my office tomorrow.
'Scuse me lads gotta take this call.
Dobbo sort it out will ya?'
  • Wonder what sort of team talk Dobson does at half time?

Charlton fans singing ‘we got the ball’
That has been the highlight of the game so far following on from 5 minutes of "we lost the ball"

To me, this is the first time I've seen absolutely nothing from us. Not even a great deal of effort. No plan, long balls to stockley then Kanu, some short passing around. Nothing just nothing. No spark. No idea.

Chin, awful on the left can't blame him though as sure he wouldn't want to be there.
    Thomas way off the pace.
Lavelle is back to being crap.
Clare flatters to deceive, has been guilty of not getting back/ closing down quick enough.
    Stockley, it wasn't the armband.

  • Glad we decided not to go to this.

Team is devoid of confidence and experience. At this point in the season it already feels like Leaburn or bust.

Fuck off the lot of them, absolutely no fight whatsoever in this XI, where's the passion, the grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck, where's the old head calming everyone down and reminding them of their job? The oldest player in the squad is 29 ffs.

FWIW Sessegnon, Inniss, Lavelle and Fraser being "rotated" for tonight is not the right call, you play the best XI that's available and resting players for the upcoming Pompey game doesn't make any sense!

Lavelle mainly at fault for first goal, lets the cross go right past him.

Ness: for the first time showing his lack of experience
Payne: Cheap version of Fraser, doesnt do anything with it
Henry: Needs a League Two loan, not minutes here and there

Cheap replacement no mark manager gives us performances like this.

Guy talks a good game but his line ups show he hasn't got a clue.

Players are awful but at least we looked like we had a plan in the weeks previously. Now we are just resigned to relegation.
  • Any of us could have selected a stronger side.

Suspect this is a set up.

When Garner was sacked I said it was nothing more than shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic and so it is proving. Holden is not responsible for this IMO.

    Pearcey looks veeerrry uncomfortable
  • Can’t Brownie dress it up nicely cos too many poor lickle Charlton fans have never liked hearing the truth about what a shitshow we have been for years and continually somehow manage to get worse .
    shit complete shit
  • This lot would struggle in L2 - becoming a total embarrassment. The performance against Stockport was shocking and we continue to get worse.

To be this bad in L1 is some achievemen...
