Tongue different gravy to our other bowlers here - be first choice for the rest of the series by the looks of things
    Genuine pace.

Tongue slightly showing up the lack of pace in the other England seamers
The extra zip is making all the difference. The Aussie bowlers will be a real handful when we bat, as all 4 of them have decent speed.

Starting to get the feeling the luck just isnt with us this series
I'm worried about that Pope injury. He's twice dislocated it and missed a year of cricket. Just the latest in a long line of shite to hit us in the run up to this series. Fast bowlers keeling over left right and centre just as it appeared we might actually have a couple of class ones. Stokes Knee. The Bairstow/Foakes conundrum. Leach getting Injured on the eve of the series. Moeen's finger. Now Pope's shoulder.

Best laid plans and all that.

Be just our luck if Pope was out for the series and his only contribution to this game was to drop Warner.

Wonder if this might be the beginning of the end for Anderson unless he picks up some wickets in the rest of this game

If Pope is out for the series the obvious thing to do is bring in Foakes and move all the batsmen up a place. Might work in our favour

That's not a bad call tbh.

It's right that you have concussion subs now, but it does create an inconsistency that if Pope was ruled out of the match, he'd be down a batter, whereas if it was a concussion injury we could bring in a replacement.

Hopefully wobbles him a bit as he's looked in decent touch before that.

Is that what Surrey are known as these days?

I do enjoy the cricket coverage, big fan of Nasser and Strauss! I find the punditry way more insightful than football.
KP has annoyed me slightly less than I was expecting him to do.
If he could stop calling a cricket ball a "rock" then I'd like him more.

Aussies going along nicely here. Not enough pace in our attack & Anderson doesn't look himself.

    Nothing to do with luck.
I predicted 1-4 to the Aussies and I haven't changed my mind.

Expected wickets 3.9 at this stage, a large part of that will be the 2 drops but shows we've bowled better than the scoreboard suggests

    Warner gone, bowled, 96-2.

The next two wickets will be critical.
Beginning to look that might be Duckett and Crawley, some time on Sunday morning.

Think we can assume they won’t be declaring to get a few overs at us before the close

Was that bat or pad first? Looked bat in real time but to me looked pad was in front of bat on slow mo.
