If Pope is out for the series the obvious thing to do is bring in Foakes and move all the batsmen up a place. Might work in our favourcantersaddick said:

It's right that you have concussion subs now, but it does create an inconsistency that if Pope was ruled out of the match, he'd be down a batter, whereas if it was a concussion injury we could bring in a replacement.0
