If all their sentences are always this long how does anything ever get done?
  • I wonder how much of the stuff that they are paying for via consultants would be available from supporters.

The bad news is Appleton stays.
I don't think if I was Appleton, I'd be very happy with the way they handled that discussion.

Funny they want fan engagement when Appleton seems to despise us.
    Does he "despise us"?
I used the words 'seems to'.
OK, let me rephrase the question then.

Does he "seem to despise us"?

    'Smart business decisions' is it?
How is that smartness to be judged?

Elliot is speaking management 101 stuff, the other two are making fair points. Our failures stem from poor ownership behaviour since 2007 and the recruitment of Dowie. 17 years of this can't be turned around overnight. They are not really putting objective targets out there, with the exception of 8 +8+8 so we are still having to trust them.
Getting a bit tired of that one! Could actually be turned around in one decent summer transfer window.
Yes, but having the people and the structure to actually do a decent transfer window is exactly what we haven't had. We have had Southall and Sandgard's boy and ridiculous so called managers and coaches from Europe.
I think it's just management waffle to make excuses for poor recruitment. They are the owners, they knew they were taking over this club, they could have had people ready to go. And if they didn't, they should do now because it certainly doesn't take years.

A fool and his donkey could've told them the squad wasn't good enough when the Summer window shut - that wasn't a structure problem.

Target 10,000 and target 20,000 were major success stories and those involved deserve much credit but they couldn't have been achieved if the playing side wasn't moving in the right direction. Everything points to that and nothing can be achieved without it.

may be some should ask them. What will be the share holders attitude if we are relegated this season because of the player recruitment policies .

1 min to talk about recruitment and recruiting players who can’t immediately join the 1st team.

    'Believe you me'.

    OK.
But allow us to judge by results then, and to react to crap when it is shoved in our faces.

Rodwell say they weren't aware of what Senda had been accused of, that strikes me as being remarkably incurious for a management team.
Utter bollocks. The FA would have informed them when he was invited to a disciplinary panel. That even happens at grassroots level.

Interesting approach to go with essentially saying that it's our fault Appleton won't be sacked because we were too critical when they sacked Holden. I can only apologise chaps
Don't complain or we will double down next time .........

Honestly I'm struggling with how Rodwell is coming across with a lot of his answers. Think Gavin has come across well here though.

So far, from my perspective, yeah he does.

I have followed his interviews, looked at his body language, seen his reaction to results....and was there at Leyton Orient like you were.

I don't think anyone seriously believes Apples will still be here if he ends up losing the next 4 or 5 on the spin.
  • Uh oh Elliott speaking , where's the mute button ... is he Grapevine ?

I get the impression Paul Elliott wouldn't mind too much if we were sloshing about in the vanarama as long as the squad is top heavy with kale munching Him/Hers!
