Rotherham United can confirm that the club have parted company with first team Head Coach Leam Richardson with immediate effect.

They must have hired Katrien Miere as their recruitment consultant as that statement says that they have started their search for a replacement..........

Only to find that Steve Evans is taking the job 2 hours later 😀
Richardson knew what was happening, as he heard the Chairman yesterday telling the tea lady that they'd need extra biscuits today.

Steve Evans in being a complete front bottom shocker
    What's he done wrong?

Stevenage statement says "following an official approach and compensation being met".

Wow, that's a shocker. Suddenly Rotherham become much more serious promotion contenders, and Evans is in nice and early to lead recruitment.

Never though I'd see a sentence with Evans and nice in it.

How about Steve Evans ate 30 packets of Nice biscuits?

Strange, I know they're not in good form but could still get to the playoffs and then who knows what could happen.
  • Either Martin Devaney is the next Pep, or they've got someone damned impressive lined up in the next few days.

No surprise there, a lot of Barnsley fans have been calling for his head for a while and their form is horrendous. They've nearly bottled play-offs and still could, pending results, after being in there comfortably.

Bit of a win/win situation for whoever takes the job at this stage.

  • Duff to return to Barnsley perhaps?

They must have someone lined up, either a permanent or a Warnock style interim for a short term confidence boost.

Their form is bad, i think it was on the EFL thread i pointed out the same the other day. But even so, the guy has managed them for 45 games and they're 5th with a home game on the last day. I think it's pretty poor he's not allowed to see it out.

I hope the caretaker fucks it up now and they finish 7th.

Arne Slot has said he hopes to take over from Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager at the end of the season.

Liverpool opened talks with Feyenoord on Wednesday about Slot's potential appointment.

The Dutchman confirmed his interest in the job to ESPN before Feyenoord's match on Thursday against Go Ahead Eagles.

Is Slot that good? I don't remember his name being mentioned a few weeks ago, as someone being linked to the top jobs.

Am sure he'll slot into the role quite well

Was one I think Spurs went for last summer before turning to Postecoglou.

No idea if he's any good though!

He sounds like the slang term for a lady of the night in a scouse accent.

    Definitely scope for puns.

'Slot dropping' players, not Slot shaming etc.

Wasn't Slot also linked to Leeds post Bielsa but they wouldn't pay the compo and got Jesse Marsch instead?

Forest Green will be hard to beat, and this doesn't include caretakers.

    Ian Burchnall 27/5/22 to 25/1/23
    Duncan Ferguson 26/1/23 to 4/7/23
    David Horseman 17/7/23 to 20/12/23
    Troy Deeney 20/12/23 to 18/1/24
    Steve Cotterill 25/1/24 onwards
Trying to set some records before they go out the EFL.

Hartlepool United head coach Kevin Phillips has left the National League club following the conclusion of their 2023-24 National League campaign.

He has been replaced by former Stevenage, Yeovil Town and Woking boss Darren Sarll.

Pools said in a statement that Phillips' contract had only been to the end of campaign and it had "come to an end".
