  • Just finished the last Episode of Shogun... Been brilliant viewing the last ten weeks

Going to miss looking forward to a Tuesday now getting to watch it.
    Just finished it as well.

Stunning series, almost perfect. Some people might find it a little slow but I absolutely loved it.

Couple of good programmes on tonight focusing on Folkestone. Portillo at 6.30 on BBC2 and then at 8pm Andi Oliver's Fabulous Feasts goes behind the scenes of the Folkestone Music festival which is running from May 1st - 31st.  There are some seriously good gigs and artists playing throughout the month along with a shed load of music workshops if anybody is interested. Details here http://www.folkestonemusic.co.uk - Keep an eye open for Sophia Stutchbury, lovely lady and a great voice too.

Blue lights back tonight and all episodes on BBC iPlayer. First series really good. Watched first two of new series tonight and am enjoying it.
    Enjoying this excellent series
Thus far resisted the temptation to watch all available episodes, do still like the weekly instalments routine.
Fascinated how the new players in the gang warfare will turn out and where they fit in with the business of the other side and last season's protagonists

Was slightly disappointed with the season finale of Shogun. Was a brilliant series though, one of the best things I’ve watched in a while.
  • Just noticed that Shardlake is being advertised, starting on 1st May on Disney+.

I absolutely love the books (By CJ Sansom) and have thought for years that it deserves a tv series. I didn’t realise it was in the works, so I’m looking forward to this!

I'm only 3 episodes in - agree very good but it's a struggle to remember and identify the leaders/soldiers of the different regents/warlords. I don't have a clue who is attacking who, especially in the nighttime scenes.
  • Finished Red Eye last night. Thought it was excellent.
  • Love/hate very good on itv x...... sorry if its been mentioned before.
  • Really been enjoying Fallout. Don't let the fact you haven't played the game be a turnoff (The Last of Us was critically acclaimed).

I love the concept of "divergence" where post WWII rather than focusing on things like microchips they went further with nuclear, so you end up with 1950s cars powered by nuclear reactors. The idea of how a society works post a nuclear apocalypse is fascinating. Watched 6/8 episodes so far and liked it from the start but was absolutely hooked from the 4th. Thoroughly recommend it.
  • Red Eye is excellent but intense so watching old episodes of Monk as a light hearted antidote - I'm fascinated by the autistic mannerisms.

Not one for the games, one of the best TV shows on Prime for me. Roll on series 2.
  • Started watching This Town last night....MrsH has family from Chelmsley Wood so some added interest...it's not bad either.
  • Watched the first episode of The Tattooist of Aushwitz on Sky Atlantic. I don't think it is going to be a very easy watch, but having read the book I really want to stick with it.
  • Finished Red Eye last night. Thought it was excellent.
3 episodes in on this and think it's excellent

we did watch Fool Me Once, was ok
  • Not new, but started Kin last night after it was added to Netflix. 2 episodes in and a strong start.

It gets better, particularly series 2.
  • Yeah, looking forward to starting Kin.

The two I’ve balanced with my ‘evening hour’ over the last fortnight have been This Town and Full Swing S2.

    Enjoyed them both

Watched first two episodes of Baby Reindeer but unlike most of you, thought it was shit.
Hard to watch. Gave up and agree with you

  • A few recent watches from me:

Shogun - excellent. Such a detailed show. Good acting and storyline
Kin - blitzed through both seasons. Another excellent show
The Bear - been on my to watch list for ages. Halfway through season 2 but as good as the hype IMO. Says something when you can be utterly engrossed by an entire episode dedicated to making desserts in Copenhagen
Red Eye - all a but ridiculous but enjoyable for it. Richard Armitage seems to specialise in these types of shows for some reason
Golden Hour - Dutch show but we watched it with dubbing which didn't help as it sounded terrible. Nothing the lead character does makes sense and can't say I enjoyed it

Found the main character ridiculously irritating. Even worse when you think he’s playing himself.

Started off strangely but it grew on me week by week. Great last episode.
  • I've watched the 3 available episodes of Mammoth on iplayer and that whilst being really silly had some great lines in it
  • The first 4 episodes of Clarksons Farm series 3 is out today.
    4 more episodes next Friday.
  • Granite Harbour on BBC. Series 2 released so I decided to watch series 1 as I’d missed it first time round. Lasted half an hour. This is up there (down there?) with the most wooden, clichéd ham acting I think I’ve ever seen. Absolutely unwatchable.

Watched the first 2 last night. Do love this show but my god farming is an insane business. Not sure if its just its Clarkson but the council really does come across as petty idiots in this show.
  • I'm halfway through a fairly traumatic pig based episode 4 of Clarksons farm.

I'm a fan of Jeremy Clarkson, I get him and his humour, whatever anyone thinks of him he has to be respected as he just doesn't make any bad television. The council seem to be on a quest of pure hatred against him. Someone who can and has put money onto Oxfordshire, can actually stimulate the local economy just because they aren't fans of him personally. This isn't unique to that council behaviour like this and I'm glad the producers and Jeremy Clarkson himself isn't holding back from anything they have said.
  • First 2 episodes of the new Welcome to Wrexham were released on Disney+ yesterday.
  • I appear to be the only one on here who thinks that Red Eye is awful - terrible acting (including Lesley Sharpe) and a truly ridiculous plot. Gave up after Episode 3.
