Can't see another thread for this yet, so here we go for this year's TdF.
Should be terrific this year with all the big guns in GC taking part. Evenepoel, Roglic, Wout and Mathieu VDP are all capable of stage wins and pushing Pog' but, with his form being so good at the moment and doubts around JV's recovery from that crash, he's gotta be heavy favourite for it.
With Thomas in the super-domestique role you'd expect a much stronger showing from Ineos so I've had a couple of quid on Carlos Rodriguez to make the podium. Probably wasted tbf but you never know.
Will Cav get that illusive 35th? Much as I'd like to see it I think it asking too much but he'll have plenty of opportunities looking at the stages this year.
Can't wait!

Yeah should be a great Tour this year with all the options in the SC.
Going to be strange with it not finishing in Paris, but imagine it'll be that little bit more exciting.
Just want to see win 35, wont be surprised if Geraint helps him again, like what we saw in Rome.3 -
Hard to see past Pog - Sepp Kuss being out is big loss to JV. What are the standout mountain stages? Always a great watch3
-
It’s all about project 35 for me, really hope Cav does it. Can see Ineos winning the team comp with a lot of very good riders but no standout, though Pidcock might be stage hunting.3
-
Pog win, Rodriguez podium, Pidcock stage win, Cav gets the record, Bernal top ten
Really looking forward to this one, there are some great stages3 -

Any stage winner tips past the obvious ones? I’ve put Jai Hindley in, liked the look of him last year tho think he’s support roglizc this year0

Peter Kennaugh looks a bit like Phil Foden.
Looking forward to the Tour as always. Go Cav! 🤞🤞

Taking a similar route to us, we have been to Florence, through Emilia Romagna, down to San Marino then Rimini in the last few weeks. In Bologna at the moment though. We saw lots of banners and adverts for the Tour in these places.1

Should be a cracker, looking forward to seeing how Remco does on his first tour. That big crash earlier in the year has made it even more intriguing3
-
Just tuned into Eurosport and Cavendish is three minutes behind the peloton and honking his guts up, team have all dropped back to support him but doesn't bode well.1
-
Yeah hopefully just a bad day for him - He's said in the past that he'll usually time these gaps carefully, so he doesnt waste too much energy.
But the fact he's been throwing up doesnt bode well - Imagine if he's got the entire Astana team with him, he'll be fine, as cant imagine the Directors throwing out a whole team this year into the Tour0 -
In fairness, the climbs on the first stage are a bit tougher than most of the sprinters will have wanted when they are settling in to the race.
I was tired just watching.1 -
It is so nice being able to watch on ITV. Think Ned Boulting and David Millar are the best commentary duo out there and Pete Kennaugh is a great communicator. Cadel Evans joining for the last week too.2
-
So Orla Chennaoui is not on Eurosport anymore, thank god for that, gobshite who thinks she knows everything and never knows when to stop posing.0

Incredible two comments side by side there1

Just an opinion.0

She also is still on Eurosport from what I can see, she was hosting The Breakaway this morning2
-
I'll have a look after the stage, no doubt she'll be dressed a bit provocatively and know everything about everything.0
-
WOW - WHAT A STAGE!!2
-
Wow, that was exciting. Well done Bardet.4
-
Really thought that was going to be a similar finish to when Cavendish won that epic stage a few years ago, where he just flew past the breakaway almost at the line.0

Just put the Tour on for the day, saw Cavendish was already in the last Group, and 4mins down and had a little snigger.
He's going to spend any non-Sprint day enjoying the countryside isnt he0 -
