Olympic bobbing around in the water isn't very exciting viewing.
And the race has been abandoned for lack of wind again.

It looked windy and typical that GB Bennett was up to 2nd place when the stop flag was hoisted.
Thats what I thought. The flag she hoisted up was fluttering nicely. No wind I ask you....pah !

Loving our 51 year old skateboarder having the time of his life
He has had to adapt his skateboard a bit though

Dutch domination in the hockey it seems, on the pitch and in the stands, looks like a race at Zandvoort the amount of Oranje out there
  • Trip to Lille to take in some of the Olympics. Watched France vs Germany in the men’s handball. Packed out with 16k hyped of Frenchmen. Cracking atmosphere
  • Like Andy Murray being Scottish when he loses, is the skateboarder American again now he didn't reach the final?

We'll keep Sky Brown though obviously.

Denmark fell apart pretty spectacularly. Their lead rider actually "won", shame about the other two!

Halfway through we're just 1 tenth down

Our man's bike seemed to break on the last lap, Silver for us and Gold for the Aussies
  • What a race that was. Basically both doing the same time until 1 lap to go, then we couldn't find the extra gear to make up 2 tenths that we were behind. Fantastic stuff.

Ok on replay he slipped off the saddle right as he came out the corner

Great race. We were fractionally behind the Aussie favourites anyway, so nothing to lose and everything to gain from really going for it

Thought the saddle collapsed but he slid off it, very frustrating

Nice bronze for the women’s team pursuit.

They paced it to perfection and that is a good Pursuit bronze medal considering they lost Katie Archibald just a month ago to a freak accident in her garden when she broke both Fibula and Tibia bones when tripping over.🤦🏻‍♀️

The sprint cycling is my favourite event of the whole Olympics. Honestly so good to watch. Love the slow cat and mouse start. We got two through to quarters, winning their races by 0.001 and 0.004 seconds!

BBC are so frustrating, just endlessly twaddling on about any old shit, meanwhile on Eurosport they are simultaneously showing the men's discus final and the women's pole vault

Haha Freudian slip there! I even corrected my wife 2 mins beforehand who said "is that Christine?" And I said no it's her younger sister Victoria

Nielsen needs the last heat to be slow to qualify, Anning needs to finish top 3 and faster than Nielsen's time

Anning qualifies, but Nielsen's fastest finisher time isn't quick enough to make it to the final

Yet again they talk up our man and he's beaten at the end by an American

Silver for Matt Hudson-Smith , led basically all the way but overhauled in the last 10 by the American.

Look at how far back he comes from
  • Can't knock it, British record, 5th fastest time of all time.

What's the story? Do the Americans want it more? They seem to just find another gear at the end of the races
