There will be a very clear algorithm that is managing "unsubscribes" versus "new subscribers". I agree everyone has a tolerance depending on the product and the frequency - I don't mind seeing holiday marketing content, I have less tolerance for shoes.

I am sure there are SA, trouble is that does not include "don't bother looking ats", which is what I - and am sure many others - have become?

taking time to unsubscribe can be very cathartic. 

I get exactly where you are coming from, but the point is, they are things I am interested in. I do actually want to know when the sale is, or when the new range is in, if I unsubscribe I won't know. But I don't need updating about everything the company does on a daily basis - M&S for example.  

Just got my car insurance renewal,up almost 400.00 to 967.00.a quick call.took about 2 minutes and it was reduced to 807.00,why do they do this waste of everyones time,good mind to tell them to poke it as long as i get a better quote.

Hollywood's drive for money, by just re-making films that were released 20-30 years ago now, rather than taking risks - I saw something the other day, an interview with Matt Damon, where he puts it down to the lack of DVD sales now

e.g. Films would be released > bring in profit > DVD would be released > Bring in a second wave of profit.

DVDs dont exist now, streaming brings in less money, so studios are eager to take less risk, and so stick to endless genres, like what we're seeing with the exhaustion of Superhero films, because they know that the majority like them.

Now we're getting to the stage of them making Live Action re-makes of some of the best animated films out there, its nothing new what with Disney - But was watching "How to Train Your Dragon" last night with my Son, one of the best animated films in recent years and one of my all time favourites - Was sitting there watching, wondering if there is a chance of a fourth film or (I joked to myself), a Live Action version... Which I dont think would work.

Went on to Wiki this morning, just to see... Yup... the Live Action film is actually coming out next June!!

Just got my renewal 1168. Its eye watering. And you have to have a conversation with a computer to get it down.

no wonder they make it so difficult to opt out of auto-renewal.

Just got it down to £931. I appreciate they are a businesses and there to make money but I do feel I've had my trousers pulled down by Direct Line. They quoted for my old car which was £630, I told them that I was buying a new one and they charged me an additional £12 to take me up to the new renewal date. I checked today as my renewal goes out on the 11th and to my surprise it wasn't an additional £12 per month but an annual increase of over £500. They hadn't written to me informing me of this increase, I only noticed it when I checked my Direct Line account documents. I then spent 45 minutes "talking" to a bot. 
 Next year Direct line will have one less customer.

People who throw litter out of their cars, and litterbugs in general. Recently came back from holiday in Turkiye, sooo clean, but never saw a council picker-upper. It just doesn't happen.

It very much does happen in every urban area of Turkey I’ve ever been to.

Parts of Istanbul are strewn with litter as there are no bins for security reasons.

Dogshit. Just because theres leaves on the pavement doesnt mean it gets left for people to tread in. Twice in 3 days I've stepped in it walking my dog😡

I can’t remember what we paid about 10 years ago, maybe about £80 I think. In the great scheme of things it isn’t a great deal of money when buying a house but I agree with you it’s just another add on. Maybe if you lived in a village with 5 other houses and a church it would make sense. 

Pitchside presentations, watching the England rugby last night, interviewer and three pundits on the side of the pitch, music blasting out and a light show, just get in a studio inside.
