Tempting if the tickets are sensibly priced. It's F1 so they won't be.2 -

So Monaco renews to 2031. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/articles/c2e71dmn20ko
Love it or hate it (and modern F1 cars don't really fit) - it is a great, historic, venue. Been once in the late 80's - quite enjoyed the buzz.0 -

Monaco may be a fine tradition but it's an absolute bore to watch.3

Very rudimentary, and no doubt the new area already has all it's space accounted for, but I'm certain this would create a bit more excitement in the races

From a business perspective I can see the logic of not having two of the three “classic blue ribbon” races on the same day.
With ref to someone trying to do both races I think the Byzantium “month of May” 500 schedule would preclude any active F1 drivers doing both.1 -

Monaco is dull year after year because the track layout just doesn't allow for good racing in modern F1 cars. They're all cruising around at 80% managing tyres knowing no one will be able to overtake them and they will not be able to overtake anyone. Not even rain really makes it much more interesting as they all just drive even slower.1 - Sponsored links:

Watching the qualifying race for Macau , Freddie Slater looks one hell of a talent to be mixing it with some of this year's F3 frontrunners. Just gone to red flag for rain though.1

Honestly a bit of a non event with SCs and rain. Hopefully the actual GP tomorrow has more action.1 -
Great display from Slater, shame the second SC happened, as looked like he was quickly closing on Leon. Given that the Formula Regional car is rumoured to be so difficult for rookies, its impressive that Freddie was the best of those that you expect to see in FRECA next season.1

Would expect he's got the choice of every F1 Junior Programme to sign with too but of course he's got the type of family money where he can wait as long as he wants for the right thing.1 -
His old man Adrian runs Bayliss and Harding - the cosmetics company. Has money, but not Lawrence Stroll style money (or even Adam Norris style money).
Freddie hasnt even been at school for years. His whole life has been primed towards F1 and it is reaping the benefits at the moment.2 -
At least the Macau GP had a bit more of a race today, than yesterday... First time I've really watched it this year, its just bonkers
Especially with that corner where cars just pilled into each other
Shame for Slater, but overall did well to mix it with experience drivers, and ALMOST... ALMOST got P3!!1 -

To mix it with Leon and Goethe who are F3 race winners and likely both graduating to F2 was mightily impressive. Had to go for the move on Leon on the last lap really.
Ugo was a very surprise winner, just seemed to have the answer to everything anyone could throw at him , I know his FRECA results weren't spectacular but Prema might have another gem on their hands for F3 next season.

Looks like Red Bull have royally screwed up this weekend and made it unlikely the title gets wrapped up this weekend2

It's only free practice. Verstappen will be closer to the front, come qualifying. Maybe not on the front row but he won't be 2 seconds off the pace2

Another shocker from Perez0
-
Collapinto is too erratic0

Brilliant effort from Gasly... Russell was unstoppable!!0

Just watched Qualy , unbelievable lap from Gasly. Not sure what happened to the McLarens on the final run just seemed to have absolutely no pace
Got to feel for the Williams mechanics, rebuild both cars and then have another big smash in Qualy1
