Alcohol is the Devils spunk. You are all sucking on the teat of public housery. For shame...
When you put it like that……£6:65 for a pint of the Devil’s spunk sounds pretty reasonable.

    Cheers.
  • I do apologise. You see, unfortunately, I'm very very drunk.

Roses in Woolwich Arsenal have beers below £5 (on match days can't speak for the rest of the week)
Is that place still open? I thought it shut a while back.
No still go there, under new ownership, when I can. Must admit that place has got me through some rough times.

Anyone that drinks in Brewdog shouldn’t be getting too above their station.
  • The Anglesea Arms Woolwich is also under £5. However, like many others, its time has come and it will be closing its doors early January.
Remember, well not really, drinking Hürlimann’s in there for the Man Utd v palace FA Cup Final & replay ….completely obliterated and a dribbling wreck after a session of that , came back home and recall shouting at a flat in West Park that had a palace flag on its window after they’d lost the replay , what a twat I am/was (it’s all the Hürlimann’s fault, that really is the devil’s juice)

    Corrected for you.

After my 3 month booze fest I'm now at Lisbon Airport waiting for the flight back to Recife.
Pleased to see that a pint of this reasonable stuff is 'only' 6.90 euros.  I'll have a couple more.

Got assaulted by a 14 year old girl who started throwing up off her face in Petts Wood Spoons on Halloween (the girl just ran into the pub, hadn't been drinking there herself), so there's always great entertainment there, and two Limoncello Spritz's for £9, amazing.

I actually took the time to flick through their magazine/newspaper (not the swivel eyed "DOES THE TRUTH MATTER?") one, and you can see from that just how much of a community institution Spoons is.

Tim Martin deserves a knighthood in my opinion. Only reason people dislike him is because of his politics, which is good because it significantly reduces the amount of pub bores  :D

Shepherd’s Bush Empire £8.10 a pint of lager.
  • If you're happy to pay £9.40 for a pint because that's not expensive to you, then you're likely not going to go to Weatherspoons.
I did occasionally go in to them at the airport but now I'm a brewdog man if flying from Gatwick or just use the bar they have at City.
Sorry guys dont want any one getting the wrong idea about me thinking im a snob or anything, thats only if i have travelled on short notice and cant get in to the lounge.

You should come out with the "don't you know who I am" line.

Paid £10 for a 500ml can of this the other week, which is the first time I’ve paid £10 or more for a beer. Was lovely tbf but not £10 worth of lovely.

Don’t all your bookings come with guaranteed lounge access? Mine do.

On occasion I have to travel at very short notice and i don't wish to burden the PA with getting me in to a lounge, as mentioned im a super humble guy. Yes i know i could get in to No.1 or aspire lounges but for me they are the wetherspoons of airport lounges. I go for the super secret VVVVIP lounges that dont advertise.
  • The Nordic bar in Newman St. are selling pints @£1 each between 5-6 pm.

Spoons in Burton, Guinness £3.15 a pint and decent
  • Met some friend in The Nags Head in Belgravia last night. £8 per pint of not very well kept Adnams Old Ale, but it seems all beers were £8, including Southwold Bitter! Not sure about lager. Quirky pub with a lot of character but I'll be avoiding it. Fortunately I don't go drinking tn that area very often!

£7.50 for a pint of Birra Moretti at City Airport yesterday. Might be the most I've ever paid for a standard lager.

Nice bar though to be fair

I assume you do not drink tea or coffee takeaway as you must have it in a bone china cup.
  • £7.50 for a Guinness in Mulligans in Manchester yesterday. I’m used to paying half of that in Yorkshire.
