  • He is failing on every metric

    We are losing games
He isn’t improving players it’s the opposite
The tactics and style of play are nonsensical
We don’t play any football whatsover
He continues to pick his favourites who are completely and utterly shite *cough Docherty
He continues to talk shite in interviews

Has he lost the dressing room and just wants a pay off and a move back to Wales ?   If that’s the case then get it done

He’s got to go. Anyone still trotting out the “we can’t keep sacking managers” or “who else can we attract” lines is as deluded as Jones.
Dont think there is anyone who really thinks that with Jones anymore

But equally dont think there is any point in fans turning on other fans - Only thing that'll achieve is those fans who do think along those lines, will retreat and you wont get their honest opinions on things, as they wont want to be shouted down or insulted.
  • Luton fan at my running club reckoned Edwards would go if they lose to Stoke tonight. Told him I'd give Jones a piggy back to Kenilworth Road. Bloke said he'd want him back!
    C'mon the Stokies.
  • Your cut out and keep NJ bingo game:

Listen, fans are entitled to their opinions and they like to talk about the position in the League and two wins in 12 games but they're not including our wins against Chelsea Under 8 and Bromley reserves. I'm proud of the boys, they're working hard and getting on the front foot. If you take away the long range shots we just don't concede. In fact we haven't conceded this season and we're playing some lovely stuff.

Listen, if you look at the table excluding long range goals (which don't count) and including all the stonewall penalties I adjudged us to deserve this season, then we're actually top of the table. You can't ask for more than that. I took over this club after they had lost 42 on the spin, we only finished 16th even though I helped us pick up eight wins in our final nine games. It's going to take time but the league excluding long range goals (which don't count) and stonewall penalties we should have had, doesn't lie.

Listen, we've got a January transfer window coming up and we're not even halfway through the season, if I can make no loan signings (because loan signings don't count) and buy a few more players who've done great for me 7 years ago and can fit nicely into defensive midfield, then we'll be playing even more great stuff and sharing our goal around even more players this season. Another night of positives, we're still in the cup because long range and deflected goals don't count. I think you could see we got the ball down as I asked and played some lovely stuff and restricted them to long range and deflected shots. In training we're even better to be fair to the lads.

Listen, we've got horrible injuries at the moment too. I don't make excuses, we've just got to get on with it but Chuks is out and so is Chuks, you know, you take Chuks out of any team in this league and they will struggle but the boys have reacted well and put in another positive performance.

The fact Appleton had a better record tells you all we need to know…Appleton could blame poor recruitment, what can Jones blame??

I am personally done with the lump ball tactics, he says we don’t train to be direct, I am sure the players are done with it as well, Jones is questioning there ability to play football!

    for me Jones out!!

Bring back Apples - all is forgiven !
  • Surely there's no one left thinking he should be given more time?

After this month if Charlton don't pick up 6 points (from the month).

Never was going to judge him on tonights game.
  • Another disgusting performance followed by a pathetic press conference. I was excited when we appointed Nathan Jones but it's time for him to go, and he can take Andy Scott with him.
  • He’s only the basics away from being a promotion winning manager

I should think the squad he's assembled would really put off decent suitors.
Chancers like Appleton will be queuing up though.
    Ad infinitum
  • “Learnt a lot tonight”. We’re halfway through the season you should know your squad by now.

”I’ve played against Man City and they only had 3 shots against us.” Thanks for that completely extraneous information.

Thank you for keeping us out of div 4 last season Nathan… thank you and good night

Starting to think he didn't even keep us up last season and it was just professional pride from the players that saw it out.

Don't know what he brings, tactics, formations game plans.  All Non existent.

Give it to Fleming and Pearce for the remainder.
  • Jones getting the chop would not be a surprise, the problem is the idiots left to decide on who comes in.
If he goes I'd write this season off and let Pearce become a stand in until Mary, Mungo and Midge have been f***** off.

You live by the sword and you die by the sword. If you are gutsy enough to, willingly, let Dobson and especially May go then you must be confident that you have a better back up plan. I just think this sums up your whole tenure. Too high opinion of yourself. Too opinionated. Too arrogant. You’re just about to fall on your sword mate and there’s only one person to blame. Yourself.

If Jones gets dumped I wouldn't want Pearce anywhere near this squad. Gavin Carter, on behalf of the owners, firstly needs to remove Scott, Charlieboy and Rodwell. Then have a word with Powell/Curbs either to work together in the short term and help recruit a new manager for the medium to long term or take interim charge of the team. We maybe should  look overseas again, but with some proper 'clout' money wise for a decent salary and then a transfer budget to work with in January, or at the latest next summer.
No one in the UK currently stands out as a manager, except Mark Robins, (and he won't come here) thats not a 'has been' or failed journeyman.
There's no point in dumping Jones if there is no longterm suitable replacement in my opinion, the cost would be too high for potentially no gain whatsoever.

May yes, but I think the Dobson departure blame has to be with Andy Scott.

If Jones is sacked (I don’t think he will be yet), then it will mean very little if Andy Scott remains in charge of the footballing side

It's not deluded, but sometimes the risk of a seemingly lesser manager works out better. NJ is an absolute failure here and it's disappointingly time to make a change.

Agreed, Jones made it pretty clear he wanted Dobson to stay and he's the reason Dobson didn't go in January

I can't see us improving under any manager when the squad is this imbalanced. Just look at the middle of the pitch. We've got four defensive midfielders, one central mid, one attacking and one winger.
