sorry to come all Seth Plum on you, but just how many creatures were massacred to make that meal?CL_Phantom said:Jessie said:Is it a tradition to eat potatoes, carrots, beans and bacon during Christmas in the UK?😅 To be honest I'm surprised to notice a lack of vegetable varieties and... no one had any kind of fish? Shrimp/prawns? Etc. Seeing these pictures I'm confident you'll be blown away by how many different kinds of delicious foods we have here in China if you ever come for a visit🤣
Just for you, Noche Buena in Spain (celebrated on the 24th)

Surely it would only take 26 days, rather that years to eat the alphabet?Athletico Charlton said:Jessie said:Is it a tradition to eat potatoes, carrots, beans and bacon during Christmas in the UK?😅 To be honest I'm surprised to notice a lack of vegetable varieties and... no one had any kind of fish? I think one of the fortunate things about living in London is that you can eat out at a restaurant specialising in food from probably 90% of counties in the world (and even restaurants specialising in specific regions of countries) within an hour or two radius. I have always thought it would be good one day to start at A and eat the alphabet... Like Angola, Botswana, Cambodia, Denmark etc.... it would take a few years but we quite fun.

We went to a restaurant for Christmas lunch, but Mrs Davo made a rather magnificent Beef Wellington for Boxing Day evening, which was great after getting home from the Valley.
Served simply with roasties, green beans, a rich beef gravy and horseradish.
Here you go.... (and yes, the extra bit of pastry on one plate was me being greedy).

What is that brick like thingy?T_C_E said:As someone that couldn't cook until I started to learn around this time last year, I surprised myself with today's efforts.
Not a huge fan of veg except the frozen mixed, but it's a start.

I would likely have a heart attack or run out of money before the end if I tried it concurrently hence my timeline.

How many people is that for @Jessie?
Looks delicious! Makes me hungry even though I’ve only just eaten breakfast !1 -
so you've photoshopped a menu?, if thats ok I've done my christmas banquet, personally it looks a bit like cheating to me.Jessie said:
It's not one dinner😆 Not New Year's Eve dinner either. Just some of the food me and my parents have had in the past year to give you an idea of what people eat at the restaurant in China. When I eat out with friends, I don't take pictures. I don't like hot pot and some other traditional Chinese food. Therefore these are just a tiny bit of example of Chinese food (with the addition of a few Western dishes there). Nice to know you like it!Stuart_the_Red said:How many people is that for @Jessie?

Well, we ballsed up the turkey but we nailed the New Years Day lamb. Gorgeous.

Terrific that you've snuggled everything up together on half the plate.
Is it a 'keeping everything warm penguin style' trick?3 -

Sister in law’s fine effort
