    I guess that’s sort of to be expected, she’s changing her serve but hasn’t played much so is kinda learning on the job. Really hope she can get through the Aussie open without having to withdraw with injury.

    BBC are saying that 6 winners in the first round is a record for British players in the Australian Open. There had been a few years with 5, but anything more than that seemingly goes back to the amateur days.

    Agreed kudermetova is a tough draw but the Eurosport commentators repeatedly said she had an easy draw through to the second week which I found odd given she may also have to play haddad maia before that

    There’s splitting hairs, and then there is being right. 
    As Dart wasn’t scheduled to play you could argue we got 4 through out of 4 even with kartal losing

    Fearnley v Cazaux scheduled for around 3am U.K. time tonight. Dart v Vekic around 5am.

    Draper v Kokkinakis & Burrage v Gauff at 8am U.K. time.

    Fearnley coming towards the business of a second set, he’s a set down to Cazaux.

    Harriet Dart serving for, and about to take, the first set against Vekic. This would be a big upset.

    I'm finding the Australian crowd very annoying - surely the crowds at Wimbledon aren't this bad?! I keep turning the sound down a bit but now I can't hear the commentators properly

    Dart loses in three sets 4-6 6-0 6-2.

    Draper in trouble in the fourth set against Kokkinakis. Down 2-1 and a break.

    Fearnley in a strong position against Cazaux in their fourth set. Up 2-1 and a break.

    not helped by the Aussie being 2 sets to 1 up and a break up in the 4th!

    It does happen at Wimbledon too but this game has been particularly bad. Things like cheering missed first serves etc is a bit crappy

    Fearnley wins his game, great tournament for him so far.

    Very unsportsmanlike from the crowd tbh so I don't blame Draper for having a go back.
