If I wanted to go and get food I’d jump in my car anyway. The delivery driver is just doing what I’d do but for a cost. I ain’t walking to the coop or a McDonald’s drive through.
I did the Larry David thing one night coming home drunk with my son - walked through the drive thru. Just like LD, they refused to serve us because we weren't in a car (something to do with insurance). Fortunately the guy behind took pity on us and let us sit in with him to make an order. I don't even like McDonalds.

Me and my own bloody stupidity. I missed the Bolton match tonight having completely forgotten about it (tbh Saturday was so bad, I think I'd repressed the thought of it). I wouldn't mind, but I was on the Climate Change thread earlier this evening and @blackpool72 very kindly reminded everyone about it. For some stupid reason I thought he was making a joke about it because everyone was arguing, so I just lolled his post and carried on with what I was doing. I sat through all that dross on Saturday and missed a 2-1 reverse tonight. Grrrr

Stickies. I bloody hate stickies. I have a complete mental block with them and only look at the posts beneath the stickies missing stuff like Bolton Pre-Match Thread... [and the rest writes itself]

I really don't understand how people, who are professionally employed by a company to be delivery riders, can do so on a "L" plate. Surely insurance is invalidated.

Can you keep an eye on the Climate Change thread for a couple of hours, from 3pm on Saturday and from 7:45pm the following Tuesday, please?

Doesn't annoy me, more of a controversial opinion... Match threads shouldn't start until the lineup is announced. The lineup should be the first post in the match thread. Everything else should go in pre-match.

but how do they get insurance as non-qualified learner drivers who are riding for business purposes and not SDP?

If you’re talking about a certain person, it looks like a printout from a polygraph machine.

I think we are allowed to name Donald Trump, the President of the world's most influential country, the largest economy and who is also the leader of the free world, elected through due democratic process.

Pretending to be in favour of free speech, but then denying it to others.

The new US administration has asked all health agencies including the CDC, FDA, NIH, and HHS to pause all external communications, such as health advisories, weekly scientific reports, updates to websites and social media posts. This at a time when bird flu H5N1is causing havoc across the USA in poultry & cattle farms. This is censorship of important health information.

Met some arsenal fans on the way to their game. Hooray Henry's the lot of them. Drink orange juice, talking about their loaded chips with southern fried chicken sliced on top and artichoke on their quiche. One is a vegetarian and apparently they serve fake duck at the Emirates.
Whatever happend to a pint of cheap larger and the possibility of being arsed to queue for a pie.

Thanks. Bit shaken up but ok. Always told him and his brother , a phone or cash can be replaced but they can’t be.
  • Best advice ever, MOL.
