I always used to wonder what that mound was behind the old west stand. Just seemed odd that they dug out the side of a hill which then went on to become the ground, but that bit got left there.0

Based on the programme, the back-trackers are likely to be two from Johnson, Phipps and Dawson. Definitely not Jack Shreeve who I knew when I was growing up.
And, of course, forwards didn't defend in those days.
The above suggestion of Ronnie Allen ... he played for West Brom, not for Huddersfield, and would have been too young anyway.
For the record, we lost 0-3, but finished the season in 19th place ... one place above Huddersfield who did the double over us.

This I found in a book, Football grounds from the air. Picture taken 1970. After council had brought the land from Charlton. Shows the wall that stills runs behind Jimmy Seed Stand.
