Hit his eyelines like a pro.Pavoren007 said:Lol, that video is absolute quality. Fair play to Gilbert for his play along, which was awesome 🤩 🤣0 -
Nah he’s actually right you see but instead of inept Premier League loanee, he’s an inept Championship loanee so it’s actually even worse than he said.FishCostaFortune said:
How about 09:30am this morning?golfaddick said:
Posted this on the 1st page of this thread.golfaddick said:Don't care anymore. We all know what we need but we wont get them. Will be more moving deckchairs with a couple of players leaving (on loan- no one wants our dross) being replaced with the usual inept PL loanees or players at the twilight of their careers.
Highlight this post & re-visit again in February.
For once.....just for once, I'd like to be wrong and to be eating humble 🥧 at 11pm tonight.6 -
Notice the article says first signing of the January window.

Boro fans seems pretty annoyed he’s gone, always a good thing17

Loan in then.
I’ve a gut feel they’ll be another departure today.Day of Cawley watch ahead0 -
Absolute disgrace that we have loaned Golfie out to the Birmingham Life forum.AFKABartram said:Loan in then.

He still very much had a part to play on here in the run in to the end of the season.17 -
Probably will be, doubt it would be a leaburn or TC, there’s no time to replace them now, same goes for smallAFKABartram said:Loan in then.

What are you expecting, one of our better players to be sold?AFKABartram said:Loan in then.

My gut is suggesting the same, I've got back to back meetings as well till 1pm, so if my gut is right... I'd best get to the loo prontoAFKABartram said:Loan in then.

Not sure we have any obvious contenders to leave who are in and around the first team. If we sign another attacking player then I can see Kanu going out on loan which might be useful for his developmentAFKABartram said:Loan in then.

Actually feel the complete opposite. Think everyone we want to stay stays and the only way someone goes is if silly money is offered.22
-
Leaburn is the only one I could see potentially going, and wouldn’t be shocked if he did.2

Is today Deadline day?!0

The window does indeed SLAM SHUT today.cafcsinger said:Is today Deadline day?!
Someone get the table of snacks picture meme ready stat.4 -
Hopefully...🙄cafcsinger said:Is today Deadline day?!0 -
Excellent. Seems just the player we need and he will hopefully be up to match fitness quickly.
If the loan works out, hopefully there is a chance to make it permanent.

Someone like James Jellis would be a great way to close out the window now4
-
From the clips, AG was playing as a deep lying playmaker for the junior Bees.
He hasn't played that many games at a senior level, and isn't very solidly built, but he looks good on the ball, and can spray a pass. Let's hope he's ready for the rough and tumble of League One.
Edit: "isn't very solidly built" - That was based on the Brentford clips. He looks more robust in the Middlesboro clip where he scored the winner (without getting a name chack from the commentators!).0 -
He isn't someone they are interested in.ForeverAddickted said:Someone like James Jellis would be a great way to close out the window now
I think if we can keep a better players, and get another in, it is a good day. There is serious interest in TC.14 -

Gilbert is the one, they wanted a perm deal, but couldn't get it done, but I think they will try in the summer.ForeverAddickted said:

My concern is that they try and get a fee for Small now0 -
Amazed by the amount of people who would let Leaburn go because he’s had a couple of dodgy games and looked tired22

If he won’t sign a deal then why not?IanJRO said:FishCostaFortune said:Leaburn is the only one I could see potentially going, and wouldn’t be shocked if he did.
My concern is that they try and get a fee for Small nowI don’t think we should but ultimately it’s a business, he’s probably worth a fair chunk imeven with 6 months left.1 -
He mentioned the other day that he'd like to stay, just depends if thats a soundbite or notAberystwythAddick said:

Winger/striker would be a nice next addition, would then allow DK or more likely Ahadme to go out on loan. Agree with also wanting cover for Coventry but that's going to be a tricky one.1 -
Yeah, I really hope he does stay, you just never really know what’s going on behind the scenes.ForeverAddickted said:

Because we’ll get compensation and probably a sell on fee if he leaves in the summer anyway, much better to use him for 4 monthsAberystwythAddick said:
