Dale would be a very sensible option1

Apparently, the deal fell through a couple of weeks ago when @PaddyP17 didn’t quite make it onto the board. No Paddy, no Jazzy🎷thenewbie said:Gribbo said:James Jellis sounds like a safe cracker from the 50's
The cover story is perfect, musician "Jazzy" James Jellis travelling with his band playing clubs across the country but every town he visits has a mysterious spate of crime...AFKABartram said:
I would have said an American saxophone player. Always wears a hatGribbo said:James Jellis sounds like a safe cracker from the 50's
As this thread is full of made up nonsense anyway!3 -
Owen Dale would be a decent option. Very good player in this league and can actually run past a man, currently only two of our players can do that with any consistency.8

What you saying - Gillesphey can run past a man.Braziliance said:Owen Dale would be a decent option. Very good player in this league and can actually run past a man, currently only two of our players can do that with any consistency.
Just not with the ball, and in the wrong direction.6 -
Waiting for Cawley to dismiss the Owen Dale link in 3.......2......1......2

If we were to get Dale in on loan with option to buy and Cornick perm, it would give us the ability to vary how we attack and give us good use of width.2

He’s also about as much use as Charlie KirkMarcusH26 said:Dale would be a bit of a surprise as he's mates with Charlie Kirk.1 -

Give me one more creative wide option and this year’s version of Kayne Ramsay (someone we don’t think we need yet but is just REALLY good) and I’ll be very happy0
-
The closer the window gets to shutting, the more open to the idea of Cornick I become.
Experience with Jones, Bristol City fans seem to still like him, so I doubt he's lazy, at the very least.
And finally, without being too rude, he would surely offer more than the other strikers we have/had at our disposal in Gas, Hylton and (sorry) Chuks. Maybe even young Kanu who I think needs a loan to sharpen his skillset.

The time to have got him was when we still had Kirk as they worked well together on the left hand side.
But when did we ever do joined up thinking.1 -
The Kayne Ramsay equivalent of a left sided CB would be greatCallumcafc said:Give me one more creative wide option and this year’s version of Kayne Ramsay (someone we don’t think we need yet but is just REALLY good) and I’ll be very happy0 -
Hopefully it's not an either/or situation. I'm sure the club would get a first choice GK if one presented themselves, but the chances of that happening in Jan are slim at best.cafcsinger said:I might be alone in this but AMB and Mannion have been fine this season. Would rather get in another winger / CB
I agree our two keepers have been fine, but we can definitely do better.0 -
We all dream of a team of Ramsays,
A team of Ramsays,

Not for me, he’s not played this season. I don’t mind that kind of signing in the summer as you’ve got more time and some cup games to help get them up to speed. But we are now in February, by the time he is match sharp the season could nearly be overBraziliance said:The closer the window gets to shutting, the more open to the idea of Cornick I become.

Any January signing needs to be one that can make an impact immediately and hit the ground running0 -
They didn’t play on the left hand side together? Dale was on the opposite side as the right wingergolfaddick said:

Are we desperate for an attacker like Cornick? Would much rather a player with pace or a holding midfielder. And then after that I’d have LCB and GK much higher on the priority list than a player like CornickBraziliance said:
