  • was at the game. Campbell scored great goal but limping from kick off. I am not a football manager but surely playing injured is likely to give longer term lay off.

The knee into Tyreece's thigh was deliberate, and the ref missed it. He was roughed up all game as Harris must have instructed his players to take him out. He limped through the rest of the game, scoring a goal, so fair play to the lad, he stayed on the field for as long as he could. Deadlegs are something you can't run off, Surprised he didn't come off at HT.
Yes, I thought it was deliberate too. Refs are not up to their jobs at this level.
Totally deliberate, Gibbons went on the pitch with  one intention which was to get TC off it as quickly as possible either via maiming him or getting him sent off

Agree, the ref was naff in the extreme all match, but not assisted by his assistant's at all, who continue to be a total waste of space and utterly useless...
Oh, and yes it was deliberate as was the kick on Ramsey's ankle not long after that...

Just keep winning games Charlton. Don't be tempted to rest players now our play off place is all but secured. I'm sure we all thought Wycombe would beat Shrewsbury and Wrexham would win at Wigan. You never know what might happen.
    This.

Play your best players all the time. Dont rest any as you can never second guess other results. It might just go down to the last game of the season.

I would expect Blackpool to beat Wrexham as they are playing now and Lincoln away is a tough game for them. You have to assume we beat them which isn't a given of course but I can't see how we are not in it in terms of Wrexham. Wycombe have the run in from hell, including against us. It isn't easy for Stockport either. I would say if we can win every game, we will get second. That is a big if of course but not impossible.

We are going to be in the play offs so it is all about second now and those final games.

Didn't watch the game, but I'm curious to know, was our 5 bookings to their one card, a fair reflection...?

Well, that was 2 hours I won't get back. Total shit housing from them and playing like that, they fully deserve to be going down. The ref was awful and offered no protection, yet happy to book our players. I'm not saying we didn't deserve the bookings, but it just seemed all one way with his decisions.

I thought Small may have been instructed to stay back more today, as he wasn't offering an attacking option on the right, but I'm just speculating.

    A fair reflection of a bent ref...🙄

TC is applying the 'Thierry Henry' finish very nicely atm. It never needs to be belted, but either taken a little earlier to surprise the goalkeeper, or use the defender as a shield.

Be great to see Small apply a similar technique with his left foot. Well, while under contract of course.

Terrific result and what an atmosphere from the travelling fans
Looks like he's fallen asleep mid-celebration? - Not that I blame him
Not interested, we could be going up straight but for him last week

    Definitely on Harris’s instructions

I was amazed we didn’t take Campbell off when he was clearly struggling, and especially that he came out second half. He was clearly limping from before he scored his goal. We were effectively playing with 10 men going forward for at least 45 minutes, and why not protect him for the running, I don’t get it

It's tiresome, I honestly could not care less if we won every game 1-0 with a deflected goal off the defender's arse while we don't have a single shot on target the whole game, it's all about POINTS now

Scruffy game, but we win those more often than not these days.
Echo the comments that the back three were excellent, including McIntyre. Edwards was my MotM though. Quality player. Ramsey also excellent again.
Slightly disappointed by the midfield. Do we have enough quality to win the playoffs? Maybe, maybe not, but at least there’ll be plenty of effort. Anderson was good again.
I really like the look of Mbick. As someone said earlier, potentially a ready made replacement for Aneke, a player I love, but who may be in his last season with us.
Another good result for Northampton today. I expect it to be a tricky game on Friday.

In an earlier interview Mbick said ‘ I’m bit of a handful!’ Today he really was and he is a big fit unit and he scores for fun.

McIntyre man of the match for me. Thought he won everything. Fair play to Karoy when he came on too. Did well

Surprised at some relatively low marks for MacIntytre as also thought he was MoM.

    Just finish above Stockport.
8pm kick off on a Tuesday up there and they are favourite.
8pm kick off at a packed valley and we are favourite
Let's beat Northampton and see where we are

Sounds like an ugly scrappy win on a lower league pitch where the opposition don't have a shot on target. Excellent 3 points and with Huddersfield and Bolton losing and Orient 10 points behind with just 12 points to play for we are in a good place.

Good Friday we need to get Small and hopefully a fit TC to use the width of the pitch and be pro active and play on the front foot. Ugly away win, followed by a beautiful win  at home.

    NJ post match interview: https://youtu.be/JvpMurxpCuw?si=4Qt3lsKRkSVH4lct

    Interesting he mentioned Mbick:

”Today we were quite bold you know putting young Mbick on the bench but we’ve seen something this week in training that’s quite frightening”

This is a young striker who turned 18 in November and very recently come back from spending a few months out injured. Whatever work or thinking he’s done during that time out has benefitted him on his return to the point he’s really impressed NJ. I didn’t expect him to come on late in an important away game which we were only winning by one goal, so it says a lot about the faith NJ has in him.

With Leaburn and Kanu out it’s a great opportunity for Dixon and Mbick to push closer to the first team.  Could be a real positive for the playoffs (assuming that’s where we end up) to have a couple of young strikers who the opposition won’t know loads about.
