Not the Championship, but interested to see Peterborough have sold another of their players. Defender Emmanuel Fernandez has signed for Rangers. He was the player sent off against us at The Valley for those who don't recognise his name.
Losing him, Poku, Mothersille, Cyprianou and Ricky Jade Jones is really going to hurt them. Tough season coming up.
Considering they had all those players and were still in a relegation fight last season, they could be in real trouble next season, unless they are planning on spending the fees well (although think I read they lost a couple of those players for free).
Cov sign RB Kaine Kesler-Hayden from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee
Apparently £4.5m spent on a RB - this is what we’re up against!
Cov probably have a massive sell on coming for Viktor Gyorkeres too if he leaves Sporting. They're not afraid to get the chequebook out.
Coventry originally had a sell on fee for 15% of any profit made, but they apparently sold the sell-on clause last summer so they could fund transfers.

Oh cheers , I didn't know they'd already sold the sell on clause. Was sitting there thinking they'd be funding this summer's moves like Kesler-Hayden off of Gyorkeres.

That fee can't be right for a 23 year old with 38 league appearances.

Does seem high, especially for a player a lot of posh fans don’t rate. Seen one bloke say “if they can cure him of cerebral palsy, he’ll be a decent signing”
Posh never seem to keep hold of their better players. Im not so sure their owner particularly wants them in the Championship and is happy to keep them a mid table league 1 side. They are a pretty small club and that’s probably their level.

Think they get good young players on the very basis that they are a stepping stone and players expect to move on.
Good that they get the players but bad they'll never want to stay beyond 2 or 3 years.
West Brom not in for Ethan Pye anymore and not made a bid, apparently.
Sounds like Stockport would be willing to sell like they were Tanto as the journalist said "no bid received" rather than Stockport not listening to offers.
We could do a lot worse. Only 22, can play left back or left centre back, would provide excellent cover at the very least.
Feel that's the kind of signing we should pay the big-ish fees for. Solves a lot of our issues.

Olaofe deal showed Stockport won’t let there good players go cheap. Expect them to at least demand 2M+. For that money though you would be investing in Pye’s potential rather than what he can offer right now. Do think we should be in for a LCB like Gillesphey but he’s not on Jones/Ramsay level so can be upgraded and Pye is a decent footballer but for that much I’d rather someone proven and at their peak, Pye is the kind of deals we should be making when touch wood were an established championship club not looking to survive first season.
Not sure it's confirmed but it's rumoured the late payment is for Mason Burstow, as he's the only player they've recently bought from a PL club.
Loan fee for Louie Barry. £1m still owed to Villa.
Which raises an interesting point. Barry was recalled from Stockport in Jan to go to Hull....presumably because Hull could pay a bigger fee than Stockport. But seemingly they didnt.
So Stockport get shafted & maybe scuppered their promotion hopes (maybe could have got autos if he'd stayed) and Hull get a player that they then don't pay for.
3 window embargo for Hull confirmed. Can't pay a fee until Jan 2027. So that's an unproven manager coming from the Turkish League , a squad that has generally relied on some high profile loan signings to bolster it now left assumedly with the " One in One Out" system.
Absolutely agree with Golfie that the whole world of loans and recalling players in January to send them elsewhere because someone else will give the parent club more money is incredibly shady.
Patrick Agyemang on his way to Derby... $8m, plus $2m in bonuses
This is going to be a very interesting one. Watch quite a bit of MLS , physically he's going to have no problems adapting but he's so so raw technically where he didn't come through the academy system. A lot of that fee will be on what he could potentially become.

Hull and Wednesday decent candidates for the drop, which is encouraging for us.

A fair view point mate. Pye would be more suited towards the likes of West Brom, Norwich, Ipswich etc as they have ready made squads and wouldn't have to rely on the 2 million player being first team ready as much.
I have to say though, I think he is better than what we have personally or can at least very soon be. I think he is ready to play in the Championship now, at least at the lower end.

We'd hope so but Reading did well despite all their issues.

Murky world transfers & loans.
