Just back from seeing the Rhemo consultant.
It seems the only problem following the flare up a couple of years ago is the limited movement in my big toe joint - which is not the end of the world.
My inflammation markers were very high during the flare up and had come down considerably 6 months ago following my anti inflammatory diet - basically plant based, big reduction in alcohol and plenty of cherry juice.
She looked at the result from last week’s test and said ‘oh my god’! My result is now zero!! Very pleased at that.
  • Brilliant!

You'll be needing a nice bottle of chilled French rose to celebrate, i'll leave the key under the hosta B)

  • My wife's Psoriatic Arthritis had gone into overdrive this year.
Normally the steroids give immediate relief and then back on the methotrexate.
This time her blood pressure went loony, over 210 and she was hospitalised for a few days.
After that she came off the steroids, but the methotrexate wasn't effective like it normally is.
She has now been given NHS approval for Biologic drugs.
Amazes me how stoic and even tempered she is.
I really feel for all of you suffering this agonising illness

Huh. Another celebrity (of Charlton Life) endorsement on social media. Probably getting paid thousands.

I haven’t clicked on the link but I am assuming it’s for Chardonnay 😁

Back from my annual Rhemo check up and I’ve officially been in remission for two years now. I am now going onto ‘open access’ so I can contact them but they won’t contact me.
The only things I’ve changed in the last two years are a big cut down on alcohol- and any wine I have is red or rose. Plus the Sainsbury’s cherry juice I keep going on about. If I drink too much or forget to have cherry juice the pain returns.
