Humphries takes the Premier League title. Littler not at his best.

The two of them the standout players at present.

Find that really weird - great player and a likeable bloke.

I can understand wanting Littler to win (though I was hoping Humphries would), but not to the extent of walking out when someone else does.

Plus having two guys competing with each other for most of the titles is more interesting than Littler just winning easily all the time.

I think darts is in a bit of a strange place at the moment. Currently the masses are going to see Litler win. Witness a bit off history and all that.

But as he continues to win , he'll eventually become a bit of a villain and the masses will be going to see him lose.

Saw an interview with Aspinall the other day where he thinks that Littler will be done with darts in 5 years. Said he's already fed up with the amount of games and traveling they do and he's only 2 years into his pro career.

surely not, what's he going to do for money afterwards? Appreciate he'll have earnt enough for the rest of his life but if he has the opportunity to make more i'd have thought he'd take it, at least until he's 30-40. If he doesn't want to play that much, can't he just drop out of tournaments?

Your ranking is based on prize money you win each year. So if you drop out of lots of tournaments, your ranking falls, and then you won't be seeded for the big tournaments or qualify at all if you're outside of the top 16.

The PDC have already changed the rules to make it easier for the top 16 and harder for everyone else on the Euro Tour circuit. They would probably do so again to favour Littler if they wanted to rinse the cash cow a little longer.

I'm not surprised they left straight away with the lowest beer price £9.25 a pint.

I agree that i think 5 years is too soon, but the question was around whether Littler could get close to Taylor's world title record. And Aspinall's point was that he doesn't think Littler will be around long enough to even get remotely close to it.

He also made the point that now there are proper darts academies the standard is through the roof and we'll start to see more and more Littler's coming onto the scene. Aspinall said he played an exhibition where he only just beat a 7 year old and that he himself was actually trying!

Humphries out in the 1st round, I did not see that coming in ;)
  • Absolutely ridiculous leg in the Matchplay just now - Littler 180, Rock 180, Littler 180, Rock 180, Littler 141.

Ridiculous scoring in this semi final. I hope Rock holds on.

Rock v Wade final and I'll be happy with either winning.

Unbelievable night of darts. Littler starts so slow lately but always find a way to win. 107.50 average over 31 legs!

Littler gets into a rythm and then the 180s flow and even if he starts slowly, he is very hard to beat over a long format. He is more vulnerable in the early rounds. Can see Wade giving him a decent game if he continues playing like he is, but can't see anything other than a Littler victory. Can also see a scenario where Wade is totally thrashed.

Rock was brilliant yesterday then he dropped to being very good. Very good is usually not good enough to beat Littler. You can't afford to drop your game at all.

Backed Littler when he went 5-0 down last night at 2/1, always fancy him over that long format.

think he wins tonight by 6/7 legs

I love Wade but he won't handle this evening well at all. Doubt he gets to 10 legs

This newly dubbed triple crown nonsense needs binning. One of the tournaments is an invitational exhibition ffs
