  • Soaked to the skin at Hilly fields which was far too hilly and far too fieldy.
    Ticked a box mind
  • Back form my hols and back on top running form, kind of.  Got round Sutcliffe parkrun in one piece, skillfully avoiding the puddles and a man carrying a dog along the way.
My other half and i went to the London Stadium to watch the Diamond League this afternoon where the athletic talent was a few levels above and watched a great afternoon of athletics.

  • Got around Charlton in the rain yesterday - rain eased just in time...

Was away for two weekends before that - did Alstervorland in Hamburg last Saturday, and the week before I did Zamek w Malborku (Malbork Castle), near Gdansk, which is a great run that'd be worth a visit even if its name didn't start with a Z.

I did Zamek w Malbork (Malbork Castle) last year and loved it.  Gdansk is a real hidden gem of a European city break destination.
  • Did Ambleside West Vancouver Parkrun yesterday.  Closest of the Vancouver parkruns to downtown Vancouver. Great course.  Flat, paved and with views across water towards Stanley Park and Lions Gate Bridge.  As always with Parkrun,   enthusiastic and welcoming organizers and local runners.  A lot of visitors from UK.
  • Nice work!

First ever Parkrun completed this morning in 30 minutes and 34 seconds in the VM50-54 category
No one likes a show off 😉
  • I did Mile End which is another reasonably hilly bastard ticked off.
Sadly I might be stuck on 44/65 Londone for a while…
  • Hit the deck on my long run this morning after rolling my ankle pretty badly. Doesn't feel great and gutted as I'm in the best place ive been with my running for over 3 years. Hoping it clears up before the Big Half in September

  • Went over to Morden today - not the most exciting of courses and annoyingly undulating, but a lovely crowd of people. That's me on 64/65 London runs now - only Southall to go (on the 16th, all being well).
  • Up in Scotland doing the stunning Aviemore Parkrun.
  • Don't normally post on here, but yesterday I offered to pace 25 and came in bang on 👊.

A considerable improvement on last week when I got within about 30 seconds of the finish and realised I was ... Well ... Far too early!

I will now retire from running considering that my greatest achievement 🫡
