  • Would be amazed if Selles isn't gone before they play us (sadly).

Would be even more amazed if Wilder came back, had even seen that Danny Rohl could be approached a while ago.

  • rChampionship - Sheffield United sound out Chris Wilder over a possible return
The wrong decision. Selles deserves another game...
If anyone knows anything about football they should know that we revive managers careers, stop losing runs & generally help anyone in trouble.
    Doctor Charlton 💉💊
  • Selles sacked according to Pete O’Rourke
  • Dammit new manager bounce under Wilder incoming....
  • Sky reporting that Seles sacked and Wilder coming back. We all know what that means next Saturday.
  • The Blades fans are pissed.off with Wilder going back and talking about whether it is the worst ownership ever of their club. 🤣

Doubt they will officially announce it till Wilder has agreed terms.

  • Don’t understand managers sometimes
  • Said it yesterday more worried about Sheff Utd then yesterday game and now suddenly it’s become 100% more difficult …
  • I was hoping they'd stick with him for one more game then fire him

Weird to think we have lower expectations than Wrexham. They lost 1-3 (to a team we lost to last week), a standard Championship side and a recently relegated side in Southampton. I am then guessing if we lost to the spanner’s Jones head would be called for?

  • Wrexham have spent a shedload of money. Their expectations are naturally higher than ours.
  • Americans don’t understand failure thats why if Wrexham were relegated the Americans would sell the club

I don’t the no their plastic fan base will stick around if they don’t turn things around most of them have only tasted success I know quite a few that honestly expected to be pushing for promotion again this year
  • Wouldn’t be surprised to see Jose Mourinho sniff around the Wrexham job .

They have a net spend of £23m this summer, the highest in the division. That brings expectation.

Personally I don't think they've spent well, overpaying for several of their big signings.

A lot of overpays and weird signings in general. I like Harvie and Callum Doyle (maybe not quite at £8m) but the rest are a right mixed bag of older players and players with injury records.

Wilder looks like an old fashioned bruiser of a manager as opposed to the slick an smooth Euro look.
His sacking was harsh to say the least.
IF he is re-hired I am sure he will improve the Blades, but I doubt it will happen
Retaining Selles would give us a very good chance of getting something next Saturday

Selles has been sacked... Left his position yesterday.

The club statement didnt mention anyone taking training in his absence, but hopefully they'll take as long as possible to announce the new man, so he's got less time to prepare for Saturday - The players no doubt will want to put the effort in for their new Manager though.
