  • As much as I dislike Chelsea, it would be hilarious if Man U somehow conspire to throw this game away.
  • What a goal from Haaland, bloke’s a machine

Gabriel looked like a pensioner trying to chase him. Ridiculous pace.

An embarrassment for the Arsenal defenders
  • Arsenal fans complaining about city time wasting is gold. Lego head needs to spend more money
  • Given the time wasting rule that came into effect surrounding Goalkeepers. I'm really surprised that something wasn't added about Goal Kicks.

Seems to be the one thing that 'keepers take the piss over more than anything.
  • Arsenal fans whistling and complaining at time wasting.

Have they watched Arsenal the last 2/3 years? 😆

  • Arsenal fans complaining??? Surely not
  • Arsenal look as wasteful from set pieces as us at times so far today

I mean they're at least beating the first man, but not looking as fluid with them this afternoon, even taking into account the level of the opposition.
  • City appear to have stopped trying to attack.

Arsenal gonna score soon with City sitting back
  • Arsenal won't score. They are too slow in their build ups. Man City are just waiting and waiting to pounce and get the 2nd. Haarland has spent a lot of this game defending too.
  • I hate Arsenal and their whinging entitled fans. Hated them for about 40 years. Went to Highbury as a new converted Charlton fan. Their pricks complain at everything. They only see the game their way.
  • Pep singing “we all dream of a team of centre backs” on the coach home.
  • Some very disappointed people on here tonight I see.

Even stoppage time goals elsewhere are aiding Liverpool

    All about the Game Changers
  • I spoke to soon.

I wrote that, before he subbed Haaland.

    Don’t tell Golfie that.

I wouldn’t have thought so. It’s a Charlton site right? Charlton won yesterday.
  • Draw probably a fair result but I still can't see Arsenal winning anything under Arteta. For as long as his mindset in big games is always to not lose then it will hold them back.

In two big games this season, 1 goal and 1 point. Already 5 points behind Liverpool.
  • Must be frustrating as fuck for Arsenal fans when Arteta plays such negative football.

    Long may it continue

Interesting that everyone thinks United have been awful (which they have), they're level on points with City now.

Feels like last season, no one else getting close to Liverpool.

It needs some context though. United finished 15th last season, are not in Europe so only playing once a week and got knocked out of the league cup by Grimsby.

United will finish at least 20 points behind City.
  • Not great for the PL that Liverpool are well ahead already, despite being nowhere near their best.

Palace and Chelsea away are their next two league games, so there's a good chance they will drop points soon.
  • It's interesting how much more English football at the top level is beginning to be defined by the physical game again. 442s about the place, all about sending the ball up the pitch, competing physically in every position and much less focused on the delicate side of the game. The pendulum always swings eventually but at the moment it's heading more towards the kind of style Nathan Jones goes for which is interesting. I wonder how he'd do in the Premier League the way it is now with the ability to sign the kind of players he wants. Likely much better than his first time round.
