Don't need N'Dow with an injury, she's been immense.

Excellent result. Just hope injuries aren’t too bad. Other results gone our way too.

FT 2-0! Brilliant, professional performance with just enough quality up front. Fingers crossed the injuries to Skeels and N'Dow aren't serious. Birmingham lost 2-1 at home to Southampton, which means we're top - and Crystal Palace conceded a last-minute equaliser, which is always nice.

Now we need to build on that by beating Sheffield United at home and demonstrating that the Ipswich game was an aberration.

    Great result!
All over them first half, weathered them coming out the traps 2nd half. Bizarre decision to make 3 subs when they were on top swung the momentum back to us and Huttons second sealed it.
Just hope Skeels and N’Dows injuries aren’t too bad.
    Up the Addicks 💪🏻♥️

We've been very effective so far against good teams who are looking to take control of the game and strangling them out of it. The one time we went up against a team we should have battered we had nothing so the Sheffield Utd game is a test of whether we can step up and be positive in the games we're expected to win. It's actually probably a good thing that it's a tough league this year; Forest have started well, Saints are looking better than usual and the fact Newcastle and Durham are down in 8th and 9th says a lot. If we can't be dominant against the weakest teams at least there's plenty of strong sides for us to ruin the afternoons of

Nice to see the third strip getting used by someone at least.

1st time it has been used by as CAFC (first) team, as far as I am aware!
  • Thought we were largely excellent today. Very excited to see what we can achieve this season.

Just caught up on the highlights, if we weren't so wasteful that could easily have been 4/5-0. Those are the kind of perfomances we need to see every week

Hope we get some news on Skeels soon, she looked like she was in a lot of pain. Hopefully just a sore one rather than a bad knee injury

N’Dow’s was an impact injury so hopefully not too bad. More worried about Skeels. If only no news is good news.

Very happy to see the women doing well. Hopefully they can keep it going. However, I do wonder whether the gap between the WSL1 and WSL2 might be getting too big.
Consider the fact that we’re top of WSL2 and unbeaten, looking like we have a decent chance of promotion, while West Ham are getting rolled over by everyone in WSL1, yet they thrashed us 5-1 in the cup.
Maybe it was a blip or a freak result? Maybe it’s just too early to tell? I don’t know, but I feel like we need to get promoted sooner rather than later if we’re not going to get cut adrift.

You're right. They looked at pausing relegation because of the gap between top and bottom of the WSL but didn't consider the knock on to WSL2. Should we go up this year though we have the potential to go up with 2 other teams which gives us 12 points that are achievable to reach. Can then grow from there. Will need a hefty investment from the owners though
  • London City seem to be doing ok after their promotion, think they've spent quite a bit though.

Spent a bit? They paid a near world record fee for Geyoro, and had the highest net spend in the WSL. They're currently 8th in a 12 team table
