  • He is fit again now, and on the bench, but was this mysterious injury? Someone must know?

Believe it was a calf related injury

Decent shot stopping but ability on the ball and distribution were poor tonight.

Clear to see why Kaminski is number 1

Did alright overall but probably at fault for the 3rd (was far away so I may be wrong on that). TK is rightfully no1

What ability on the ball did he need to role it out to someone to lump it upfield or just do it himself, was at the game might have had a few too many but he pulled off some good saves and also came for the ball a couple of times that kaminsky would have been rooted to his line just my opinion though.

Seen Mannion play 30 odd times now and Kaminski 25 times and still can’t decide which one of them is the better keeper

Only one way to find out.

Glad he got some minutes tonight and he did well but I really don’t think he’s an improvement on Kaminski tbh. There are some saves he’s made this season that I don’t think Mannion saves whereas the saves made tonight I think Kaminski handles comfortably. My only issue with Kaminski is how glued he is to his line.

Man of the match in the lounge and he was adamant it wasn’t a penalty

He's right it wasn't a pen but he also isn't going to come in and say it was is he?

Didn’t make any saves I wouldn’t have thought he should have made.

The third goal was bit unlucky I thought.

Given that was only his second start of the season I thought he did very well. People have criticised his shot stopping before but he saved plenty and with the way Chelsea play, didn't even get to show his best attribute, claiming high crosses. Not much between him and Kaminski really.

Made some good saves but the third was an absolute clanger and down to him. Kaminski is the better keeper 100%

I think that’s harsh. He was unsighted by the defenders in front of him IMO

The boy has hardly played since May! Did bloody well last night considering that alone.
  • Apart from the third goal he played well but his distribution is just as poor as Kaminski's. Interesting to see him in a league match...

    It was straight at him

He dives for no reason, you can see him diving where he thinks the player will shoot rather than actually following the ball. He misreads it which is fine, all keepers will do that and 2 years ago he was barely playing for a struggling L1 team. I still think there's a potential no 1 keeper in there but he possibly needs some more solid game time. That isn't easy in January though

I've watched it back a few times and he can do better. The ball is moving slowly and it's straight at him.

Thought he was really good last night. Biggest criticism of Kaminski is he parries it into danger a lot of the time, felt Mannion got good strong hands on a lot of efforts to push it out of danger. Although a lot of that will be undone by doing the opposite for the third goal.

Thought he looked a bit rusty the 1st 10mins or so, but thats to be expected. Made some good saves throughout, but would have to watch the goals back to see if he could have done better with any of them. Was glad he was given a crack at it as Kaminski hasnt exactly convinced me this season. Imagine he'll be back bench warming next game, but I thought he did well overall.

No Kaminski is the better shot stopper! Not the better keeper, Kaminski doesn’t command his box. His kicking is just as poor!

Will Mannion has never played in The Championship so I don't see how anyone can be certain whether Kaminski is better or worse.

Personally I'd give Mannion a chance.

My eyes tell me that he is AS good at shot stopping and better at dealing with corners and long throws. He's better at catching and better distributing.

Why not give Mannion a chance?

I suspect there's a bit of confirmation bias going on from both Kaminski backers and Mannion backers. I still think Kaminski is better but not necessarily as much better as I had expected

This is where I’m at. Kaminski has been a bit disappointing but I’d still have him as better than Mannion.

I also think Kaminski has improved over the season. His distribution is definitely better than it was when he first joined
