Tbh I can understand their frustration. Its clearly a sad situation for the fan taken to hospital, but I'm not sure it should impact a match that 15 or 20 thousand people have traveled to. There should be contingency plans in place for this.

I absolutely mean no disrespect to the fan or his family.
When I’m pissed off about something I don’t usually start singing about it.

Theyre fucking scum and I pray we spank em in the rearranged fixture.

Can we keep names out of this? As Louis Mendez has said on Twitter we have no idea if friends/relatives know what’s happening and it’s not right that they might find out what’s going on first here rather than being told properly

I can't remember another match being abandoned in these circumstances. Do all other clubs employ private ambulances & crew ?

Why anyone looks at twitter/X blows my mind. Full of freaks.
Absolutely. My daughter's school wanted to post photos on X and I refused permission.

My Pompey mate in the away end said a match at Fratton was delayed after a similar incident and carried on after.

Big 6 pointer match having to be re-arranged later in the season. Could be a BIG match come March or April

Wonder if the players didn't want to resume the game...

After having worked and lived in Pompey for a few years, i can vouch that that is not the common behaviour of their fans - i have always found them to be amongst the best fans in the land. Ok , a few knobs amongst them , but we have them too, unfortunately.
Its not an excuse for their behaviour, but just wanted to give a balanced view.

Most grounds are like this no?

Haven't seen a match abandoned in quite some time because of an incident like this in the crowd.

Don’t know why anyone continues to bother with Twitter. It’s a far-right cesspit.
It's a cesspit full-stop. The political leaning of the scum (like above) and various bots is neither here nor there.

Not withstanding the seriousness of the situation I am surprised it's been called off. Similar incidents have happened the last couple of seasons at other grounds and I can't remember them being abandoned, just delayed. Just pray the fan involved is ok.
I believe it’s because there were extra medical staff on site.

It seems on this occasion that the poor man’s condition was serious enough for all medical staff to travel to the hospital too

Replay could prove interesting, people don't forget that type of reaction to an obvious medical emergency, I'm afraid Portsmouth FC have had their card marked, and should be totally ashamed and called out for that kind of reaction...sod 'em

I lived there for 3 years at uni and I disagree. Proper dregs of society place. Utter scummy filth of a football club and town of people. Honestly I came home every weekend because it was too depressing being surrounded by them.

Uneducated, pond dwelling, and it’s no surprise they did what they did today.

And just to drive home the point more, there are reports that fans were ripping seats out.

There’s a reason Southampton fans call them scummers.

Like everyone else my thoughts are with the fan involved, hope he pulls through OK. Unfortunate that the game had to be abandoned  but given the long delay and lack of necessary medical staff on site no real alternative.

Hopefully Pompey is relegated this season. Shame their club didn't cease to exist back when they were in the deep end.

    Horrible club with disgusting fans.

Well, it is. The algorithm literally promotes right-wing commentary. I’m not arguing about it.

Can’t believe this is even being debated. Seems like an absolutely horrendous situation. The game being called off is irrelevant, some things are far more important than 22 blokes chasing a ball round a pitch.

As for the Portsmouth ‘fans’, absolute fucking wankers. Disgraceful.
    This 100%

Not arguing either, this is completely the wrong place to bring politics into discussion. Shame on you and I'm not responding anymore.

Tbf, theres now loads of Pompey wishing the fan well unconditionally, so it's obviously only a few Mr Idiots pipping up.
