We're in complete free fall though. Its becoming quite alarming. Struggling to see where the points will come fromCallumcafc said:Tough watch at the minute but have to keep the faith. Won’t have a run of games harder than this this season.
We’re 18th and 21st is still a good season.0 -
I don’t rate Greg Docherty at all. However, I do appreciate the ground he covers and the work he puts in.We fucked up by not signing a direct replacement. Even bringing in a Prem Loan to do a job there would’ve worked. As a result we’ve ended up with this mess. None of Carey, Knibbs or Berry can play that role.I really feel for Conor Coventry who has been asked to deal with 2/3/4 on 1s each attack.
We have to get that LCM position right in the Jan window. Throw a couple of million about if we have to and can. If not, we’re bang in trouble.3 -
We are basically fucked this season unless Bell starts 😂0

People again calling for Kaminski's head, let's be honest instead of 2 nil that shot should have made it 57

They most probably have release clauses in their contracts.MrBurns said:

Aug '26 we welcome League 1 again.0 -

Doc not warming up so probably coming on5

Ironic really because we started the game 4-2-3-1 and went back to 3-5-2 halfway through.JackB said:How long is Jones gonna play 3-5-2? It don’t work in this league!!! Most of the top teams just overrun us. We’ve been found out!!2 -
Look at those stats!0

I was looking at the match report from the last time we played them. Lost 1-0 in March 2020 - they scored in the 17th minute. Bowyer said after the game that you can't let in early goals as you don't come back from going 1 down. I mean teams do, but we don't.
Its so depressing.1 -

Should at least be his last as a number 10/second forward. He’s a winger. So unless we’re playing a 4-4-2/4-3-3 variation he shouldn’t start.Rylo said:This should be Campbell’s last start for some time. He needs to know that his place isn’t guaranteed. I’ve kept quiet for a while now but that attempt (or lack of) to make a tackle was so half hearted, and you just knew it would end in a Middlesbrough goal at the other end.

I can accept being not good enough or not on form, but bottling out of a simple ball is unacceptable, especially in front of your home crowd. Shameful from TC.4

We look are looking like a team from the league below. The difference in the class and quality smacks in the face. Middlesbrough has of course the pedigree of premier football and stability of 2nd division football which shows. Hopefully we can beat the lower teams to survive in this league. Somehow I doubt it.

This is the suffering part of the season. We are completely unable to play without the balance in the defence we need. Being without Bell and Edwards at the same time has absolutely killed us, we need to have a proper LWB lined up for midnight on January 1st because the difference when we do and don't have that balance is unbelievable6
-
Campbell and Leaburn are absolutely useless.5
-
Our ability to retain the football and create anything is non-existent. This has always been the case but the difference is that we were keeping clean sheets and winning games on the back of that.3

Worked hard? What? This will be our fifth loss in a row (not counting tragically what happened Saturday), the fans will start to turn sooner or later, it's not as if we're unlucky, we're being destroyed each gamemsomerton said:There was no need to boo the team. They have worked hard and looked more threatening than of late. We have to accept most are league 1 players and are some playing out of position because of an injury crises. But it does mean we are in a relegation battle.

We just need proper cover, the fact we've lost both Bell and Edwards on the Left is what's hurt us2121 said:We are basically fucked this season unless Bell starts 😂
We've jumped in a time machine, gone back 12-months and are once again trying different formations and different square pegs.4 -
It’s not a one or two player problem. We are all at sea all over the pitch.FishCostaFortune said:Amari Bell feels like such a massive miss.
We are in a shocking run of form and look clueless at the moment. But we did at this point last year as well.
No point in panicking yet as we’ve had a tough run of fixtures to coincide with this.3 -
We were even worse with 4 at the back at the start of the game. They should’ve been 2 or 3 up before they scoredJackB said:How long is Jones gonna play 3-5-2? It don’t work in this league!!! Most of the top teams just overrun us. We’ve been found out!!2 -

Apter can do what TC is meant to do, just want to see him given a chance.2

The 'we have to accept we have League One standard players' argument might be a little more acceptable if we hadn't spent 12 million in the summer.

We have no threat up top and now the defence has turned to shit -
Players returning or spend in Jan or else it's a tooth and nail fight to stay up.
Id take a 2-0 loss right now.

They were all over us out wide initially. Let's be honest they're just miles better than us whatever formation we play.Callumcafc said:

I still maintain something a bit more than 'a couple playing with Flu' happened at Wrexham.
The dynamic definitely changed then.0 -
It’s a weak effort from Campbell but not sure he’s to blame for the goal when they’ve travelled the length of the pitch afterwards and Gillesphey (again, for both goals) is spun round and caught out and Kaminski is beaten at his near post.
Poor from Carey giving the ball away for the first.2 -
Who are the seven you are referring to ?Italian_Addick said:How can we be starting 7 players from a League One Squad, that we knew was nowhere near good enough for this level, and expect anything apart from a spanking.0 -
Think others have said it best. Long and short of it is they are one of the top teams and we are simply outclassed right now. Kaminski and Jones keeping us in it for a long time, they weren't going to hold out on their own forever. We'll probably have a bad spell, maybe even drop into the relegation spots, but I think there will be enough to start dragging points back from the much worse teams than us as the second half of the season gets underway and we'll get far enough to stay up.Oh yeah and a cup run all the way to the final

Leave off, it was 0-0 cos Kaminski was making great saves, Kayne was nowhere near dealing with WhittakerForeverAddickted said:1 -
No left back, no Bell. Really hurting us.FishCostaFortune said:Amari Bell feels like such a massive miss.
