I travel to Hayling Island on the Friday and travel back on Monday for a weekend away with a big group of friends.
Do I come back for the match? I would like to but am I being daft?
I am in Scotland that weekend for my old workshop doo. Planning to see the mighty Cowdenbeath v clydebank on that Saturday. I knew it was 3rd round of the cup and thought we get the usual shit draw, so thought sod it. Down to me the plum draw.

Now cowdens game finishes at 16.50 I am in the same dilemma. Lol.
Chelsea made 11 changes for tonight's game with Cardiff from last weekends game against Everton.
They'll do the same against us.
The FA Cup holds far more kudos, importance and significance than the poxy EFL Cup……have no fear, IMHO they will put out a very strong lineup.
In fact, it may even be their strongest.

We'll see, I'll be amazed if they do not make a minimum of five changes.
I'm not sure why they'll fear a struggling Championship side.

It’s the FA Cup Elfie…..you don’t have to look far to find some of the most extraordinary and unlikely results imaginable.
It’s what makes the competition so attractive. 🫨
Few years ago Chelsea were at home to Bradford City, they were 2-0 up but somehow lost 4-2.

Something like that on the 10th would be unforgettable.
It’s certainly would be if Bradford managed to win this game as well.

I can log in to the website, but not to buy tickets for this game.
You should’ve been emailed a link
I know. The problem is that the website doesn't accept my password, but only for the Chelsea game. I'm fine for any other game, or for Charlton TV.

Could we get a new ticket system for £20m?

I left it an hour and went back in.
I got my S/T seat and one other.
My S/T son will have to get his own.
    Couldn't get through on phone.

Thanks, Clive, but the process grinds to a halt when I put in the same password which it has been accepting for years.

Well we’ve done 3 hours of constant phoning and didn’t get through to a queue once, just cut off 45 secs into call every time.

Considering the vast majority of this limited ST Holder sale are using online, the fact you don’t even get onto a phone queue is immensely frustrating as it seems they’re not resourced to support the phone option they offer. It’s families and the disabled that the online option primarily doesn’t work for and have no choice to use the phone, and some of the elderly who are just not tech savvy.

Most people just don’t have multiple hours to give up to keep going through phone options to then be cut off.

Could not understand why when the game is 3 weeks away, the club have treated in terms of timescales like the Play Off Semi.

Should have been longer to hold the season ticket holder seats, and allowed personal callers to the box office.

We are all know the issues many experience with our website, by reducing the time whoever made this decision and those who advised them did not seem to take this into account

    Got our two. Simple process
It’s only a simple process if it works for you. If it doesn’t, it’s painful as there is no one you can talk to
Likewise. You find it hard. I don't.

  • The back few rows of the north west quadrant are £15. Is this usual ? Are they restricted ?

That’s nothing, I’ve been waiting 50 years or more since the last decent FA Cup home tie
  • Had been trying to get hold of ticket office since 2 ,kept getting cut off…😡,just been able to get on line now & our 6 season tickets seats all gone…so was there not a hold time for season tix holders at all…😠

n to top it off, thought I’d try the family stand bundle once knew they were gone & guess what family stand sold out apart from a few dotted about…,so guess no one got the bundle price either…🙄

For those having trouble either accessing their ST seats, or seeing linked accounts... one thing that might be worth trying, is signing in using your FAN ID as the username, not your email.

I've no idea why but I can sign in successfully with both (same password, and brings up the same account details), however when using my email as the username I can't access/view my reserved ST seat, nor am I able to book seats for linked accounts. But when I use my Fan ID as the username to sign-in it works fine.

Suspect your ST haven't been sold rather they are available if you log into your ticketing account.

They have definitely been held. I have logged in and can buy my seat for the Chelsea match. Under the menu at the top, there is even a section for 'Season ticket holders reserved seats'.

    https://booking.cafc.co.uk/CustomerReservedSeats.aspx

If people somehow miss that, there's also red text on the home games page, set up as a hyperlink to the same URL, instructing you to click it to purchase your season ticket seat.

This is probably the zone for the 16-20 year olds.

signed in using my email and password. Bought my usual season ticket seat and Valley Express seat with no problems. Wasn’t given an option of how I wanted my ticket. My confirmation email says Delivery Method : blank. Very helpful. Suppose I’ll just wait to see if a ticket arrives by post or not.

Seems a poor system if some people have problems, some don’t, some season ticket seats are held, some are not. Needs a major overhaul.

Unless there has been an error your S/T seats can't have been sold.
They are held until 2 pm Friday.

Are you logged in to the TICKET site (not the Charlton TV bit?
Under the Chelsea ticket buying option have you read the last line and clicked on "click here" where theoretically your S/T seat should show available and hopefully the others as well?

Whoever put together the ticketing must have been under instruction to shaft as many fans as possible. Looking at the above comments, I’m not the only person to have suffered a nightmare trying to get my tickets this afternoon. What should be an easy transaction had me pulling my hair out.
    Sort it out, Charlton

Everybody is accessing the same ticketing system yet some are finding it easy and some are finding it difficult. That would perhaps indicate a user issue rather than a system issue. Either that or interpreting the instructions is leading to confusion.

Makes me wonder how people who can't figure it out get on in the real world. Do they get others to do everything for them?
