Had been trying to get hold of ticket office since 2 ,kept getting cut off…😡,just been able to get on line now & our 6 season tickets seats all gone…so was there not a hold time for season tix holders at all…😠

n to top it off, thought I’d try the family stand bundle once knew they were gone & guess what family stand sold out apart from a few dotted about…,so guess no one got the bundle price either…🙄
They have definitely been held. I have logged in and can buy my seat for the Chelsea match. Under the menu at the top, there is even a section for 'Season ticket holders reserved seats'.

    https://booking.cafc.co.uk/CustomerReservedSeats.aspx

If people somehow miss that, there's also red text on the home games page, set up as a hyperlink to the same URL, instructing you to click it to purchase your season ticket seat.
Ooops me is a wally…🫣.missed that completely as I was doing it on my phone, too late now but thanks for putting me straight…👍

Yep it was me that was the problem…😣,thank you

Unless there has been an error your S/T seats can't have been sold.
They are held until 2 pm Friday.

Are you logged in to the TICKET site (not the Charlton TV bit?
Under the Chelsea ticket buying option have you read the last line and clicked on "click here" where theoretically your S/T seat should show available and hopefully the others as well?
Yep it was me that was the problem…🙄,cheers for help,as well as the others who pointed it out…👍

Everybody is accessing the same ticketing system yet some are finding it easy and some are finding it difficult. That would perhaps indicate a user issue rather than a system issue. Either that or interpreting the instructions is leading to confusion.
    I think that

    1.  People aren't accessing the TICKET part of the site or at least not registering/login in to it.

    2. The site isn't always intuitive. It sometimes tells you whats wrong without making it obvious how to resolve it.

If you've used it before you can work it out but it's not always obvious.

I'm in my 60s, OK but not brilliant with IT and have little or no patience with websites. I got my tickets without a problem but I get why others are struggling.

Yes, it is user error but websites should take that into account and be obvious to use.

I'm entitled to buy two, which the system will allow if both are adult tickets. I, however, require one adult ticket for me and one student ticket for my son, which it won't allow.
  • No problem buying tickets.

ST in the family stand but bought West Lower for this, somewhere different.

Makes me wonder how people who can't figure it out get on in the real world. Do they get others to do everything for them?
I try to but sometimes the wife has to work as well

Can someone explain this for me please

  • Wonder if anyone else had the same problem as me earlier today, from 2.00 tried phoning the ticket office, (I have a season ticket in Lower West Block B row J 169. Told they are taking no more calls try later. So after 3 or 4 more attemps tied online. All my block West Lower B is greyed out. So could not get in there. Managed to get 2 seats together (one for my mate/carer) in the Upper West, but realise the climb will really be a struggle up those steps. Have emailed the club wonder if I can change for 2 lower when the problem has been sorted out. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I’ve got no chance - the ‘person’ who set my new (incorrect) ID login up is gonna be so busy dealing with ignaramuses who can’t follow simple instructions, he won’t have time for my ‘special needs’

It's part system and part user.
I'm sure some hadn't read the tiny instruction saying "click here", but if the person responsible had half a brain you would make the link as clear as possible in bold capital letters.

The "how to do it" video lasts less than 30 seconds and is too small and is out of focus.

They couldn't make it much harder to buy if they tried.

I presume someone could get through on the phone, but no one has said they were able.

You have 2 different log ins that confuse many, one for tickets and one for the like of Charlton TV.

My son's linked S/T account that I can always buy tickets for, so no need for 2 separate transactions by me & him wasn't available today.
So I bought mine & messaged him to say he had to buy his own.

If you just have to buy your own ticket and it's showing available it's quite simple, but if you want to buy for more than one person it's quite often a bloody nightmare.

The whole system is rotten to the core which was never a surprise as that fool Meire ordered/bought it.

Once again I repeat, that I buy tickets on different sites every week and have done so for very many years, as well as logging in and using hundreds of other sites.

It's my opinion that CAFC have the worst website that I use and by quite a margin as well.
  • Oh I've just logged in again, to see why people are struggling.

Exactly the same nonsense as the Wycombe playoff game.

There is the not-obvious alert on ST holders account page. In which the the word 'here' is the non-obvious hyperlink that needs to be clicked by the ST holder. To then go to another webpage from which they can buy their ST seat(s) for the Chelsea game.

An alternative way to get to where you need to be... hopefully this helps some folk... log into your ticket account, then click on this webpage... https://booking.cafc.co.uk/CustomerReservedSeats.aspx

Shame Cafc don’t have an IT helpline in Bangalore like my last workplace - that was always fun

See my post, above. It should get you where you need to be.

signed in using my email and password. Bought my usual season ticket seat and Valley Express seat with no problems. Wasn’t given an option of how I wanted my ticket. My confirmation email says Delivery Method : blank. Very helpful. Suppose I’ll just wait to see if a ticket arrives by post or not.

Seems a poor system if some people have problems, some don’t, some season ticket seats are held, some are not. Needs a major overhaul.
Pretty sure it's not a tech issue

Appears that the same problem exists for all matches not just the Chelsea cup game.
Don't understand why it should be an issue. Looks like it would allow me to buy an u21/u18/u12 ticket, just not a student. Weird.

Unless there’s a huge amount of people moving elsewhere for the game, I think a lot of people have again not known how to book their season ticket.

Given it’s only really ST holders able to purchase an extra ticket, in my section there are just 16 ST holders, yet 76 tickets are shown as not available.

There are definitely issues with the system - so don't tear your hair out just yet fellow luddites!

My season ticket seats aren't showing - followed the instructions in the video, it takes me to the page where my season ticket seats should be and it's blank. No panic though, they're reserved until Friday, so hopefully emailing them will sort it.

Unless the club has proof on record that your son is a student, then you can't usually buy online (to stop cheats).
You'll need to e mail the club on the address they gave on the website for problems.
Don't bother ringing because they don't answer.

It's an abysmal system, in no way is it user friendly, and it's poorly communicated. Issues being raised now were also raised at the Wycombe game, and to some extent the playoff final, and the club said they listened to the feedback. Clearly, things didn't or couldn’t progress further than that. I could give the club 20+ bugs, and another 20 simple ways to improve the user journey, but it's not worth my time or energy.

The website is permanently crap, the big one-off games highlight the issues.

    Got our two. Simple process
It’s only a simple process if it works for you. If it doesn’t, it’s painful as there is no one you can talk to
Likewise. You find it hard. I don't.
That is literally what I said! 🤷‍♂️
    Exactly

I could understand that if it also applied to u18/u16/u12 tickets, but it doesn't.

the fact they can’t even highlight or bold or use a different colour for ‘click here’ says it all.

I found a click here link that allowed me to book the season ticket spaces for me and my son whi is 15.

Then it asked me who i had bought the u18 ticket for and i had to pit his name and dob, which they clearly already had as he is a season ticket holder and i just bought his reserved seat.

It was fairly painless and i have been able to add tickets to my wallet from the confirmation email but it still feels like its been written by a 12 year old who hasn't tested it and doesn't know how to look up how to do it properly.

Probably written by a 55 year old in their lunch break.

I can buy my ticket tomorrow at 2pm, but might hold off until Friday when all those lovely unclaimed ST seats become available 😀.

Same ticketing problem as for the Wycombe play off game. Since then lots of money has been spent on flashy perimeter boards & grabrails at the end of all rows...but not on the IT system !
