3065, so just the JS, indeed not the maximum capacity of that stand.

Clearly segregation considerations overrode the theoretical percentage they could have been given.
Millwall’s 3140, Leicester’s 3139 and Watford’s 3138 seem to have been the biggest away followings so far this season with two more bringing 3090 and 3080 by the look of it. 3.4k is often cited as being the capacity but I always thought it was around 3.1k which if you take away some restricted view seats probably means 3,065 could be about right

Most of the North Stand is unavailable, but there are plenty of individual seats in the East and West.

There will be even more available from 14:00 tomorrow when season ticket holders' seats are no longer reserved.

Thats what I'm waiting for. I can buy today but very limited choice. I imagine at 3pm tomorrow many more seats will become available.

Couldn't buy online, couldn't phone, went along to the ticket office, they gave me a new password, bought two tickets in the West, cos they hadn't saved my S/T seat in the NW.

Got two no problem about 2.30pm in East stand. Plenty left.

Still haven't solved the problem of buying a student ticket and haven't been able to get through on the telephone.
Think I might have to buy 2 adult tickets or 1 adult/1 u21 and try to change the 2nd ticket at the ticket office on Saturday.

Have they confirmed the policing arrangements yet?

Question is where are the ticket office staff? MIA no one answering the ticket office line, goes through then cuts off and main switchboard line goes into a strange beeping noise, most helpful !

As someone who worked with the ticket office staff for 11 years (albeit only at the collections window on matchdays), I’ve got a lot of sympathy for them. There’s a skeleton crew of just three or four full-time staff, which then gets supplemented at busy times by casual or temp workers — usually teenagers, often relatives of the full-timers — with very limited experience beyond the crash-course training they’ll have had on the day.

That’s not to say things couldn’t be better, but the reality is the ticket office operation is light years away from what a Premier League club would have. Unfortunately, with that setup, issues are pretty much inevitable.

Interesting insight into the reality of Charlton box office, it seems everytime there is a big match or play-off or cup game the wheels come of the bus. Having people answer the ticket office phone or at least Main switchboard & taking calls is a basic. The underinvestment of backroom staff / admin team is symbolic of how our club has been mismanged. It always seems that football fans "customer care" is woeful compared to experience of booking tickets at theatre, cinema, reserving a restaurant table...Despite fans spending hundreds if not thousands of money on supporting our club buying season tickets, away matches, merch etc, the basic services of booking tickets is very 2nd division and customer service is not fit for purpose.
What also doesn't help is the clubs very poor comms, better and clearer instructions would really help fans in booking tickets and navigating the website.

Am I right in thinking VG members should be able to currently buy? (obviously with the caveat you haven't just joined)?

Currently showing as 'Restricted Sale' for me, I can't make this game. but if I *should* be able to buy tickets, a bit worried about whether I'll be able to buy Spanners away at the VG stage (not had this problem before...)

Just checking... you've signed in to your account and still see it as restricted?

Yes. Chelsea get free drinks in the West Stand hospitality areas and the home fans have to walk to Plumstead before they can turn right and head home...

    Very good !

Whilst I asked in jest I do wonder what the arrangements will be. Chelsea as a ‘reputation’ for trouble must be comparable to Millwall in terms of policing / keeping order etc.

Buf of course what’s different is the fact that more will have been drinking and the potential for trouble that brings versus the lateness in the day for practical transport options and also (I think) the known / planned rail issues.

    A potential minefield.

No problem! I've done it myself a few times before realising, easily done.

Always fascinated by buying patterns for these sort of games. In the East Stand there are currently just 14 single tickets in Blocks F, G, H.

Yet further down the stand in Block B, virtually the whole block is untouched!

I’d suggest most people want to sit nearer the Covered End? I had a season ticket in block F since the stand opened (in 1994?) right on the last seat across from block E. It was a great seat. About four seasons ago I moved to block G, nearer the Covered End, and it may sound weird by the atmosphere is better and you feel more a part of it. That might just be me though but I do think fans would rather be closer to the Covered End than the away fans. Also I’d guess there are a lot, lot more season tickets in blocks E/F/G than A/B/C.

If going with others I always sit in F/G for the reasons Large says, particularly if it's with a first time visitor

  • Can we scan the print at home ticket from the phone or do we need to print it?

It will scan from your phone, no need for a paper copy.

Having a ‘mare trying to get my family’s three season ticket seats in the AC. My daughter’s and mine are available but my son’s seat is not listed in the tickets available to me. So I have got two out of three so far. My son tried by using his own login in last night but his seat was also not shown as available. He did go through the link under the Chelsea ticket section.
I messaged the club last night but have had no answer yet, and I have tried calling the ticket office several times this morning but they’re just not answering the phone. Poor show.

I reckon before the release of unused season tickets at 2pm, there’s around 1,500-2,000 unsold primarily in the far ends of the East and West

That’s a pretty disappointing figure given how few seats are currently shown as available

Just shows how many ST holders have bought elsewhere either due to choice or tech issues

That’s helpful. Hopefully I’ll be able to resolve the issue of my son’s season ticket seat when we’re at the ground tomorrow. I was worried that some unwashed scrote was going to grab his seat at 2pm today.

FYI, season ticket holder tickets won't go directly back on sale again at 9am Monday, according to this (so they were unlikely to be released this PM either on the original plan)

"Any remaining tickets will go off sale at 9am on Monday, December 22nd, with further information confirmed in due course about when they go back on sale."

Its annoying as I want to sit in my season ticket space, but there are 0 free tickets, so was waiting for season tickets to free up.  Would be useful for them to announce when this will be

Bastards. I was holding off buying mine until 2pm today just so I could snap 1 of these up. Will probably have to buy now instead & get a crappy seat in block A or B of the AC stand.
