They don't have complete team sheets for every U21 game but at a minimum, Ipswich listed Clarke as a starting right back for them on:
- 27 September
- 31 October
- 1 December5 -
Just hope he’s fit enough to contribute now.1

Known for his long throws and being quick, strong, good in the air and hard working according to FM.
Something we've missed with Edwards out.

I have heard from reliable sources in the club that they are looking to get rid of Golfie and Ronnie Moore during this transfer window. They recognise that both lost the 'dressing room' many seasons ago and are damaging the morale of the majority. Ronnie Moore is expected to move back to Into The Valley on a free transfer whilst Golfie is negotiating terms with Maldon & TiptreeLife although there are concerns being expressed there that they don't want to sign someone who is rumoured to not actually like football.27

Wary of signings from Ipswich.
Fingers crossed I'm wrong and he's good.
Yeah that Darren Bent must make us wary. He was way too exciting for us. I heard of people getting carried away, forgetting to note train numbers correctly, spilling their coffee on their rug and all sorts of disasters.
Golfie cheered a goal once and Large managed to lock the toilet door. It was way too much excitement for everyone.4 -

I've heard he's about 2 inches shorter than Miles.DOUCHER said:Too much analysis on his teeth and whether he’s fit enough to play - how tall is he for Christ sake ?
So about 6' 7" ?0 -

He gives off pirate energyfenaddick said:Charlton Athletic are delighted to announce the loan signing of Harry Clarke from fellow Sky Bet Championship outfit Ipswich Town.
The 24-year-old defender, who starred in the Tractor Boys’ back-to-back promotions to the Premier League, joins for the remainder of the season to become the Addicks’ first signing of the January transfer window.
The club’s Managing Director James Rodwell commented: “Strengthening our defence is a key priority this window, so we’re delighted to sign Harry. He’s an excellent defender with strong Championship experience and the versatility to play across the backline. He’ll be a valuable addition to the squad, and I’m looking forward to seeing him in a Charlton shirt.”
Manager Nathan Jones added: “We’re delighted to bring a player of Harry’s calibre to the football club. He’s an athletic, versatile defender with good experience for his age, and he’s already had real success at this level having starred in Ipswich’s promotion to the Premier League.”
Asked about his switch to SE7, Clarke said: "The main thing for me was the manager. I spoke to him and I got that feeling of being really wanted at a place straight away. Not many teams have come to Portman Road this season and won convincingly which Charlton did, so they're the appealing factors."
The Ipswich-born defender began his career with his hometown club before joining Arsenal in 2015.
After signing a professional contract with the Gunners in 2018, he gained senior experience during a series of loan spells at Oldham Athletic, Ross County, Hibernian and Stoke City.
Following an impressive start to the 2022/23 campaign with the Potters, Clarke rejoined Ipswich for an undisclosed fee and immediately played a valuable role in the Tractor Boys’ promotion to the Sky Bet Championship.
The 24-year-old featured 39 times during the following campaign as Kieran McKenna’s men secured back-to-back promotions.
After earning seven top-flight appearances for Town, Clarke joined promotion-chasing Sheffield United on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.

Golfie cheered a goal once and Large managed to lock the toilet door. It was way too much excitement for everyone.I get the point.Harry Clarke makes it three Ipswich players we have loaned/signed from Ipswich in the last three seasons (including this one). Last Season it was Gassan Ahadme and season before that it was Freddie Ladapo (loan). He makes it three loans from Ipswich since our relegation from the Premier League the other being Lee Martin in 10/11.The other two (permanent) signings, since our Premier League days, are Scott Fraser in 21/22 and Kevin Foley in 16/17.Since 2000 that is when you get the cult hero mob: Hreidarsson (02/03), Holland (03/04) and Bent (05/06).

Like the sound of him a lot, a Championship level player who has played for top end clubs, Ipswich and Sheffield Utd. A hard grafter, a reasonable ball player.
Good signing, excited to see him play for us. Welcome Harry8 -

From NTT20
🟠 Harry Clarke (RB) - [Ipswich - Charlton] - Loan
With James Bree’s loan coming to an end, Nathan Jones moves to bring in a versatile defender with strong pedigree. Yes, Harry Clarke has started only 10 games in the past 12 months – thought it’s four in the top flight for Ipswich and six on loan at Sheffield United. Yes, he lacks the attacking threat of Bree. And yes, given his injury record, his impact cannot be rated higher than amber. But…
There is always a ‘but’, and in this case it is the simple fact that Clarke was an instrumental part of the Ipswich side that were promoted from the Championship less than two years ago, operating both at right-back and as the right-sided centre-back in a three. Without the injuries, he almost certainly would not be making this move.
On the pitch, the 24-year-old is a tireless, aggressive defender with a strong leap, and at his best can also provide energy and thrust down the right. For now, that ability remains somewhat theoretical, but regular minutes under Nathan Jones feels like a sensible platform for Clarke to rebuild momentum and prove himself between now and the end of the season.

Okay so more recent signings have been a concern. Ipswich haven't given us the best signings but all that we have signed (Ahadme and maybe Penney aside) have looked promising prior to joining.bobmunro said:

I’m normally sceptical about mid season loans, but I’ve a positive feel about Harry. My only nagging doubt is I suspect his best position is the the right of the back three role, which Ramsay has been playing and isn’t an area we need to strengthen with him due a quick return.
The Bree position is a real fitness tester, and I’m not sure someone with such a lay off and injury record over the last 18 months can seamlessly move into that, and I suspect he’s a bit more defensive focused to play that.4 -

Yep. Recent signings like Ladapo, Fraser, Camara & Ahadme have been a disaster. Most fans remember them, a lot of fans were not around when we signed Holland, Bent & Hreidersson.1 -
