Our fans didn’t get locked in….they had all left well before the end10

He certainly fell over on most of them.msomerton said:They did try, but they are just not good enough. TC the best of them, but his game hampered by having to play so deep. He must have covered every blade of grass.7 -
What really annoys me…is it’s Ramsay and not Ramsey!!!!4

Wrexham gifted a win again....... We need "Glam" ownership. The type refs respect....0

Greenie said:Let’s be honest - this is a relegation team and manager. As much as I think Jones has done wonders for the club getting us promoted, I think the board will be thinking about getting rid. He’s had his players, he’s had support from the board and the fans, but the board need to make a big decision otherwise we’re gone, and I would not be surprised to see him go.By giving Jones the 5 year contract I reckon the board have taken into account the possibility of a relegation but having faith in going back up.Whilst this board seem to be in for the long haul they have not pushed the boat out too much in the summer, basically using the television money.2

Ramsay was set up marking Cooper and JRC was set up marking Taylor. Clearly off the training ground that the stand next to each other and Cooper would hold JRC in a bear hug to let Taylor run free.MummysLittleSoldier said:
The way Cooper handles 2 of our players like they are children to give Taylor the space for a free header on the 2nd goal is pure embarrassment. Watch the reply at full speed. He stands still and holds them both in a cuddle. For what it’s worth I’m not suggesting I’d wriggle my way out of that any better but it’s symptomatic of how insufficient we are at this level
Men against boys, again
A quicker thinking Ramsay would’ve peeled off his man to at least put pressure on Taylor’s header.0 -
Agree with everyone you have said.crookester said:This team is built around a solid defence not conceding and us nicking a goal. Now our defence is not actually solid, we invariably go behind and just don't have the quality to get anything from games.
Some odd choices in the starting 11 but we were still in it after the first half. Every game we seem to make loads of changes, it's so frustrating. Leaburn and Kelman were showing promising signs of a partnership and the midfield changes every game. TC gets shunted from one position to another during games, unfair on him and sh1t for our attacking cohesity.
The hope for us is that the new wingbacks settle in, we get a replacement for Gillesphey and Ramsay and/or Burke recover some form. Desperately need some quality in midfield too.
Am bemused by the digging out of Anderson. I would never have started him over JRC but he really wasn't that bad today and we were only 1-0 down and still in it when he went off. The capitulation occured after he departed.Thats been the point for a few games now, jones should change formation if we dont have the players for it. We need to adapt. Use our forwards to their strengths.
i wouldnt be happy if i was TC.Anderson seems to be an easy target. He was ok until the yellow card. I thought JRC looked stuck in the mud.2 -

At the game. Spineless and embarrassing defeat and to our rivals makes it worse. If anyone defends them after that performance then please don’t. You can see the players have no confidence and are void of any ideas. They were outfought in their heads and def outfought on the pitch. Should have been 3 down at the break then we collapsed in the second half. We are bang in trouble. Help.0
-
I’ve no problem with other teams being better than us, no problem with us getting out played in games but we are not giving ourselves a chance as we set up wrongly most games, keep chopping and changing personnel every game and are getting outthought and outfought in game. We are too passive and our midfield especially pedestrian. The least I expect is effort and to give it a go. Today was unacceptable and a lot of that down to NJ.SouthLincsAddick said:Remember, we’ve a bottom three budget and inevitably means bottom three quality. What do we expect! If the owners want to do this sustainably we have to survive this season and probably next before we can grow that budget. We are going to get outplayed most games, now most championship teams have woken up from their slow start. Changing the manager would be madness.

It’s like a form of bullying. And there’s nothing you can do about it.Change players, change manager, doesn’t seem to make any difference. As sure as shit, our team will put in a gutless display against them15

KettsJohn said:Good chance that we will be two leagues apart next season and the gap looked like that today. Really disappointing show today.
They're a decent workmanlike side with a very good manager who plays to their individual and collective strengths but nowhere near one of the best sides I've seen this season speaking objectively.
They battered us today but we completely shirked second half as made them look very good. They did well and we were shit. No way do they look like a Premier league team.
Azeez is absolute quality though and
their crossing was very good though and every cross posed a threat.
We're a league one squad and it's really showing now.

Nathan Jones is very single minded. That can often be one of his strengths and why he can get so much out of a team in the right circumstances.
It can also be his downfall when certain things aren’t working but he refuses to see it.
Last season, it took a home loss to Crawley for him to do some serious reflection and change things up.
Today, especially with his post match comments, feels like another moment for that. I think getting rid and not giving him the opportunity to correct now he’s had his lightbulb moment could leave us in an even worse position.
Would not be surprised at all to see faces like Doc and Apter back involved in some capacity over the course of the next couple of weeks.15 -

More simple than that. He's out of his depth & should have stuck to youth coaching.CharltonManor1966 said:I am beginning to think that there are some deep problems in our club.
I wonder whether NJ is actually doing this on purpose and wants a pay-off? For all his frantic arm waving he is behaving very strangely and a very honest no excuses presser on Sky after the game.
Nothing forthcoming from our owners in the window and Jones knows how short we are at this level. Even so his selections and tactics are laughable and we can see evidence of a rift with some or all of the players.
The players themselves are headless and spineless but I certainly don't think they are giving their all for NJ.
Injuries are one thing and without incoming quality in the window we were always going to struggle but Jones is behaving very strangely and I have to think that the owners will not put more money into this club at least under Jones?
I don't think they will sack him - they probably don't want to pay him off having just increased his contract this season and Jones and the players are just going through the motions - poorly.........0 -
Are we talking about our defence?robinofottershaw said:That’s the last time I watch Slow Horses.3 -

I agree with @Crookester and @queensland_addick so i asked chatgpt for a 100 word summary of their posts if they were merged:
In summary, serious concerns about NJ’s leadership, focusing on who is advising him and the resulting decline in team morale. Supporters are confused by his odd selections, constant changes, and decisions that appear to ignore both form and fan logic. There is growing suspicion that NJ is surrounded by “yes men,” with no one challenging him or offering effective guidance, raising doubts that experienced figures like Fleming or Hylton agree with recent choices. On the pitch, the team looks drained of confidence, undermined by negative football, disrupted partnerships, and tactical instability, leading to poor cohesion, frequent concessions, and an inability to score or recover in matches.
Myself, expecting some transfer requests if not in already. This decline has been going on for too long. Bell has been the biggest miss of late, imho, and we're just not able to patch our way through this.

Readying myself for a pissed Danny Baker spouting off on Twitter later 😫0

It’s all well and good sticking to your system but when you are playing a team with giants at the back who are very slow it seems ridiculous to try to keep lumping high balls which are their bread and butter1
-
A fair few of the players just didn’t look like they cared0
-
Jones didn't take any accountability in the charlton v interview. Just blamed players.3
-
Just leave this here.. all we need, local derby and don’t give it a go.. sorry, can’t blame the players again set up wrong from start2 -
