Is there a stat on the amount of 2nd balls won?, it just seems everything drops to the opposition or they are 1st to the ball, it drives me mad at times especially when we play for 2nd ball possession. Just interested to know if the stats tally with what I think I’m seeing.

Certainly feels that way to me as well. A lot of it might be the fact it is easier to win a second ball when a defender heads it straight to you like ours seems to do regularly.

Feels like we don’t react as quick or simply predict where the ball might go, always the oppo getting to the 1st, infuriates me.

Just out of interest, were the QPR supporters held back last night after the final whistle?
No. Very provocative oiks before and after the game. Mostly young and not very organised but did manage to create a tension in crowded streets that could have sparked.

Incidentally, someone in a Charlton shirt was flat out in Floyd Road at about 7.55pm with a police cordon around then. Looked like a middle aged chap, or slightly older. Seemed to be moving but possible medical emergency. Lots of police and they were getting a silver heat blanket ready. I didn't want to ask before now so as not to alarm anyone. Hope the guy is ok, obviously.
I was there went he went down. Pretty sure he just tripped but definitely took a whack on the back of his head on the curb looked dangerous. Anyone know if he's ok??

It’s especially infuriating when in the final third and we miss an opportunity to keep the pressure on and create another chance.

Is there a Queens Park Celtic?
Not if it has Queen in its name!

I saw the usual comments elsewhere on social media that TC was lazy. Such a strange one
As you infer, strange people. Why give a shit? Possibly racist scum. Ignore.

Chambers is rightly getting plaudits for his attacking play but he struggled a bit defensively. Got brushed off the ball and a few loose passes. To be fair, it mainly happened in the second half when he appeared to be tiring.
Chambers did well like you say until he tired. When compared to the disinterested efforts of TC for the 25 mins he was on think we'd all prefer to see the game when Chambers can last the 90mins. Whether TC is 'out of position' or not last nights performance wasn't good enough. One cross then a clear lack of desire. Jones and his staff must take a lot of the blame as they have had enough examples of the loss of structure/balance this change makes to the team in that by the end it almost lost the game. The lack of changes across the midfield was another strange one (Doc and Coady were done after 75mins)  more energy was available with JRC and Coventry on the bench.

Can’t really blame Carey for continually feeling like he needs to shoot when we’ve got a striker that doesn’t look like scoring upfront despite costing us £3+ Million.

Posting without reading, a lot of criticism of us after the 80 minute point. QPR were shite for 80 mins. More negative and long ball than us!

We need to get a couple of wins and break free. The only thing I worry about is I’m not sure it’s going to come against Pompey, they seem to have turned a corner.

Three points that came out of yesterdays game

    1. Bell is now a critical player for our team to the end of the season.

His partnerships with Jones brings a renewed confidence to the defence.

He also provides supports to Chambers who has settled in really well.

    2. Our corners and freekicks actually looked really good.

This is due mainly to Chambers and Carey taking them and it won't be long until we start scoring from them.

    3. The movement from Dykes and Kelman up front is very good.

We have real speed up front which means we can put defenders under pressure and stretch opposition teams when we have the ball. It is only a question of time before Kelman starts banging them in again.

We don't look like a team who is about to get relegated although at least 3 points from the next 2 games would be welcome.

Playing the away team's theme tune in the build up to kickoff - hmm, let's not do that again.

Know what you mean but they did bring 3,500 punters and filled the JS stand and paid loadsamoney to the club. You remember in the Prem days we used to welcome the away fans and even clapped them! Everybody liked us then. What happened!?
No one likes us, we don't care.
