I think targeting specific games as the "must wins" is a bit silly because it never works like that in reality. We've beaten Ipswich away, done the double over Sheff Utd and lost to Portsmouth and Leicester at home.cabbles said:Will Still would be a terrible appointment given their situation
I see a few saying they’ll be happy with a draw/take a point. It wouldn’t be the end of the world, but for those that do, who do they view as the games we need/should be winning if it’s not this one
Winning tonight would be excellent but expecting three points in any game away from home when we're in the bottom third of the table is unrealistic IMO. Given our standing, of the three away games against WBA, Oxford, Sheff Wed I'd like to think we can win one or maybe two of those three.
Another couple of wins will come from the games some people like to call free hits.
The only disappointing result tonight, in my book, is a defeat. Take a draw, happy with a win.4 -
This feels like it has the hallmarks of the Appleton vs Northampton game. Only this time we are Northampton. If we can really go for it and take the lead, I think all sorts of toxicity will spread amongst the fan base.0

Or maybe one of the owners want to do some camera work!!TheHerminator said:
Or maybe the sky journalists tell the sky camera men?cafcnick1992 said:Valley11 said:Got a mate who is one of the cameramen for the game. He said the word there in with the Sky team is that Eric Ramsay will get the boot if they lose tonight. Previously the board suggested he’d get a few more games. Sounds like the pressure has ramped up.
So when the board make a decision about the manager, they tell the cameraman?0 -

As I said, he’s part of the Sky team and heard that from the production team and reporters.0 -

Game feels like a must-win by at least five clear goals to improve our poor goal difference - you never know how crucial that could be come 2:30pm-ish on May 2nd ...5

Get an early goal tonight and we'll see it out1

This game has got Sichenje red card on 5 mins followed by Kaminski howler on 9 mins leading to a bad loss written all over it (in tiny writing so it can all fit on)0

Current opposition coaching notes for a game against Charlton:Score first - and be guaranteed at least a point.Shoot from long range - the keeper is dodgy1

It’s rarely worked. Not just Pompey.DDOUBLEE said:
I do. Fine, it didn't work against Portsmouth, but I don't think anyone had a good game. I still think they are the best two.The Red Robin said:I think he’ll bring Clarke back in for Sichenje. It’s more attacking and this should be a game where we’re going for the win and trying to score early.
I hope we don’t see a Leaburn and Dykes partnership.0 -
That could be a problem with Coventry hip injury that restricts his playing time ?sam3110 said:Kaminski

Big 2 up top again, I think Jones wants that battering ram mentality at times.
Campbell and Fevrier on later to add pace, Sichenje back on the bench to rest.
Saturday will see Coventry start in place of Coady anyway.0 -
This red button coverage is shit0

Does anyone know whether the ref's a wanker?1

Our draw at Southampton wasn’t exciting, but it was both organised and disciplined. Carey once again snatched us a goal securing a point. We had chances to win it and lose it, which felt like a true reflection of our season.
West Brom come into this off the back of a defeat to Coventry. They concede more than we do and score at about the same rate. They have had the sort of season that feels somewhat unpredictable yet they can be dangerous. Jones will definitely set us up with this in mind.
Form wise in the last 5 games:
We have 8 points from 15 available, conceding 4 and scoring 5.
They have 3points from 15, conceding 8 and scoring just 1 goal.
We will likely stick with the familiar formula of staying compact, working relentlessly (if the players can be bothered), and hoping a single moment can supply us with a spark. This will be another tight, scrappy, finger chewing (Jones we're looking at you), type of evening.
West Brom 1–1 Charlton feels realistic. Though I could see us nick it by the single goal if our defence are on it.0 -
this post reminds me of 5 years ago when people thought that writing the word FACT in capital letters converted an opinion into a fact.AberystwythAddick said:
Given our form since November that is not enough. We have to beat the teams around us that’s not controversial in anyway it’s just a factNabySarr said:
What if we draw it and then beat Wrexham? It’s not a must win. You could maybe say it’s a must not lose but even if we did lose we will still be 3 points ahead of West Brom and probably 7 clear of LeicesterAberystwythAddick said:
