We will play the same necessary but turgid football tomorrow but because we aren't expected to win, the fans will be cheering every tackle and throw in and the perception of our performance will be different. We played some dull football on Tuesday night but people expecting us to go there and take the game to WBA and outplay them are living in a fantasy world. Man to man they are better than us in virtually every position as Wrexham will be. People are entitled to moan but luckily a good chunk of those moaning the most on here use it as an excuse not to go and thankfully won't be there tomorrow to suck the atmosphere out of the afternoon. Each to their own.

Lincsaddick - Wrexham are THE form team of the Championship, last 6 games .. W4, D1, L1 .

    I think not, Southampton are - W4 D2 L0
I stand corrected, Wrexham are the SECOND-most in-form team in the Championship, AND if we can do what we did at the Saints, I'll be DElighted

Think we will snatch it 2-1.

Doucher - I will be there, I will try to be positive, I will not moan if we are negative, we will lose 0 -3

Can’t help it but it really is sticking in my throat every time someone writes, Wrexham are better than us like we are talking about Liverpool or someone. I m also pleased as usual on here most are predicting us to lose in some type of reverse psychology hope we will win. We are at home and have a good chance of points.

Yeah.no harm in moaning on here as long as those in the stadium stay with the team.which to their eternal credit (in view of the turgid nature of t he football)they have done in every game.didnt even turn when we went 5-0 down against saints at home

We got a 25k crowd last year for this but looking on our ticket site, we don't seem to be selling at a rate that will get  near to that - looks more like a standard saturday. Now i don't really get where all the people came from last year but why the drop off this year? Any ideas?

We should have stuck with Charlie, he knew his stuff B)

Bored of Wrexham now and our game against them at home didnt feature in their Disney program so people thinking its less likely they'll have seen live whats later on the telly.

Massive game for me this one! Half of the people I work with are Wrexham fans. A few of them even before they became Hollywood lol

dreading this as I honestly can’t see us getting anywhere near them tomorrow and next week will be an absolute nightmare at work

however this is Charlton and we like to go against form or that’s what I’m hoping

    PS

just had £10 on Collins getting a red card at £25-1

Doucher. But we are above WBA, so I think it's fair to say we must currently be better than them.

I didn't expect us to outplay them, however, I did expect us to string two.passes together and have a positive attacking mindset when we had the ball.
Also, I didn't expect us to be gung-ho but I also didn't think we had to play with such a negative mental attitude.

I will be there, as usual  cheering them on whatever happens.

For those demanding Mannion gets a start, they might get their wish tomorrow.

Second thing I’ve seen suggesting this, there was a tweet about similar. Tiernan Brooks was suddenly taken out of the U21 game earlier, wonder if TK has injured himself in training

Picked up an injury, must have been in training, not officially confirmed as yet though.

Would be about right for our squad fitness when we play Wrexham. Jones, Kaminski, Chambers whoever, take no risks, this game won't define our season.

    Possibly Mannion who is injured.

Play 451 and pack the midfield but with tc on the left in front of bell for guidance and experience. I'd play Ramsay rb with Clarke in front. Dykes up top, willing runners on the wing and Carey the late arriver. Doc and Coventry sit deep and sweep. Strangle them. Oh and I think the keeper is dodgy so shots, lots of shots, as someone once said.

It’s another possible 3pts available, every game defines our season.

My point is that we shouldn't risk them if they are carrying knocks Sword, I take it by your response that you would risk them as this is a game that,  amongst others, defines our season.

If Kaminski is out, post match is either going to be clamouring for Mannion to be #1 after have a blinder and us winning or people going “see, told you”.

There will be no in between.
  • Regarding the feeling that the crowd tomorrow wont be "up" with extra Charlton supporters, I get the Valley Express coach and have been bringing my grandson to home games since the Chelsea game, but when I tried to book his place on the Ramsgate coach (tried last Saturday) it was completely full. It isn't normally a week ahead.  I checked every day after that in case there was a cancellation but no.  When checking earlier today the only coach service out of the 6 that had any space left was the Sheerness one.

I think they are either fit or not, we need our best every game, just don’t agree with some that we should target individual games as I think that will bite us on the arse. If there is risk then, no that player shouldn’t play.

I don’t think will mannion has let us down at all, so ok if he starts, I’d like our strongest defence in front of him to give him the best chance to do well though. I like that he comes to claim the ball and take pressure off the defence.
  • On current form Wrexham play with more energy than us, they are relentless. Have better players and should be higher in confidence. They have no problem scoring goals.

But they're due an off day. And we're overdue a decent performance in SE7, last one of note was Coventry. Home win.
  • Would love to see us beat the circus. Every team can have an off day but with no Jones we are in trouble. Just thought we looked very nervy at the back on Tues without him. They score goals for fun and pay players too much. Wouldn't mind them going up because with their backers it could be a team to replace Palace. 3-0 Wrexham.

Which is exactly the point I was making, glad we agree.
