Feel for the fans that have called for him to be sacked both this season and last. I’d delete my account out of embarrassment
  • I think this is just the beginning. Play offs in 2/3 years.

Called. Embarrassed. Doubled down and called again. Embarrassed again. Oh what, again? Really? Go on then, knock yourself out lads.

    Guess what? Owned again.

A lesson to us all. Be careful what you say on the Internet as its there for a long long time.

Looking forward to the next change of tack ....

Next time we have a bad run, back him. He's earned it three times over.

I couldn't quite work out how we were grinding out all these 1-0 wins.
    Now it finally makes sense....

People, we've got a delightfully unexpected 3 points tonight. Can we not enjoy that rather than rushing to get on our high horses about whether we were right about Jones or not?

Unbelievable the results he gets when he loses the dressing room every three months

I don't think 'he's lost the dressing room' has been said once?

Absolutely. I have been very critical of Jones and his football. But I am always happy when we win. Some of the comments on here just because we have criticised Jones, are laughable.

Let's face it Jones had 1 job this season - keep us up - and he's going to to do it comfortably in the end I suspect, albeit there have been some scares along the way.

Will be very interesting to see what we do transfer wise in the summer. Results and performances like last night will surely make the board sit up and think...

Love the fact that other teams hate him as well, he's mad - but he's our mad

Are we not allowed a contrary opinion. I am not at all embarrassed. I called it as I saw it at the time. I am happy to admit when I am wrong. I hope Jones carries on proving me wrong. Because that will mean we are successful and that is all I want for Charlton.

I think it had been suggested by a few when Doc was dropped and some other rumours  of fallouts.

Boro are very slick and a really good footballing side. They’ve got the benefit of being a Championship club for nine consecutive seasons with the Premier League being the tenth. They are supremely established. The football is being honest light years ahead of ours but we’re new to the division and relatively new to any type of stability. First and foremost staying up was Nathan’s remit and I think we’ll do that. However. It’s the football was saw and won against last night that we need to aspire to. NJ says there’s a plan and I fully believe him. We can’t possibly jump to Boro’s standard just like that and I am hoping that the next couple of seasons see us consolidate and build a solid base to progress little by little. I really hope the owners were able to watch that and see the reality of what their club is up against and react accordingly. We have the base of a Championship squad but to move forward and gain that consolidation we need to bring in some genuine quality. Staying up was this years target. A top half finish should be next seasons. I’d be happy with that.
