Minster have been making any number of announcements:
Successful CAFC crossbar challenge participant and one of the best all time all-rounders in the KPL, James Thompson, has returned from his spell at Dartford. Keeper/bat Ben Chappelhow has followed him from Dartford to play in the first team as has his brother Joe who will be in their 2s. Ed Moore, who played one Test for South Africa and was prolific in his previous seasons at Minster has re-joined but as Afghan Usman Ghani has been signed too, I can only assume that the former is now considered as being non-overseas. England U19, Luc Benkenstein and his brother, Jack have been recruited. Australians Joey Boulton and Deegan Campbell will be their 2nd XI and 3rd XI overseas players respectively. Other players to be announced are Dillip Ayer and Ryley Davies.
On the coaching side, David Masters has become head coach, Chris Lewis is now their bowling coach and Kent's batting coach, Jaahid Ali is fulfilling the same role at Minster. Ian Sels is the new first team manager. Chloe Elull is now the club's new physio.
That's 16 announcements in total. Just waiting for today's social media posting to add to that list!

Bloody hell
I had Ben Chappelhow dropped on the boundary off me in a friendly a couple of years ago. Giant claim to fame I know. Anyway I'd get him out clean bowled these days2 -

They earn their keep by helping the groundsman and general maintenance around the place.
Most years there are foreign imports either coaching or playing, I’ve met the owners all nice guys and obviously not short of a pound or two, one I believe is a magistrate.

Should've had Joe at least once in the Waggoners friendly last year. He mistimed plenty off me but kept finding gaps (mainly as we were the most mumbo jumbo lineup of castoffs we've had in several years and people wandered from fielding positions). He celebrated his ton like he'd never even got above 50 before.Leuth said:Bloody hell

Think I ran into a fellow Lifer that day, possibly Lordflashheart, not sure! But our team was hilarious. Missing our three best bats, and we had a man who last played cricket for his church; someone who hadn't played in 6 years; the Bickley 3rd XI keeper's hairdresser (who second ball thumped Ben Chapelhow for a one bounce four over back over his head, unbelievable stuff lol), and some Franklin family friends/boyfriends in the mix. Amazed we only lost by 80.1 -

However I don’t think it was Chapelhow who got a ton that day
Anyway, I don’t get it in terms of him joining Minster - what do they see that I don’t 🤷0 -

It looks like it was his brother, Joe, who hit that ton. He isn't as good as Ben and has joined to play in Minster's 2s. Ben might be playing as 1s keeper. The one thing he can do, when he is on the money, is be very destructive. He's hit nine tons in his time and keeping and coming in at say 7 might suit him.0 -
Tbf I did say it was Joe I should've had!Addick Addict said:Lordflashheart said:

George Garrett has signed for Sevenoaks Vine. Following his retirement from first class cricket last year and having played for the Vine during that period George has joined the Vine as a club member to play his cricket.
If Vine now maintain their batting depth from last year, they could develop into a decent side, and prevent becoming a yo-yo team.1 -

First, Minster's sixth overseas appointment - Enamul Haque Jnr who has played Test and ODI cricket for Bangladesh. In addition to playing, he will also be their spin bowling coach. Given that only one overseas is allowed per team, this signing would suggest that either one or two of those already signed are claiming a "home" exemption or those previous signings have fallen through.
The other additional signing is Kent Women's cricketer, Sydney Gorham, who will be the head of Ladies and Girls cricket, their performance & mindset coach across the entire club and also play for the Club's 2nd XI on a Saturday.
Where this is different from previous years, when it was players and one or two coaches, this year they have appointed a first team manager, a head coach, a batting coach, a fast bowling coach, a spin coach, a ladies coach and performance & mindset coach plus a physio. I know of no other club, certainly not in the Kent League, that has that sort of professional set up.0 -

Chislehurst & WK's overseas this year is all-rounder Rilee Endersby. Seb previously played with Rilee for Southern District in Adelaide.1

First 30 mins of the season and a dislocated ring finger !0

Ouch! Wishing you a speedy recovery. It's never a good time for such an injury but at least time is on your side sustaining it in April. It's bound to chuck it down for the duration of May anyway!1

What's he like? Flew in today I think...he doesn't sound like the sharpest tool in the bag????Addick Addict said:Chislehurst & WK's overseas this year is all-rounder Rilee Endersby. Seb previously played with Rilee for Southern District in Adelaide.0 -
I don't know about being the "sharpest tool" but he is a 19 year-old Aussie so we have to allow him some leeway. Seb got a message today from his old English DLCA/Southerns flat mate in Adelaide (who has stayed out there and served an apprenticeship) to say Rilee was playing for Chislehurst.Pedro45 said:

Rilee should be decent at the level he'll be playing at with both bat and ball. He played for the SACA State side as a junior and batted with Seb three years ago when they played against Spencer Johnson, who got Seb out, whereas Rilee was caught off the bowling of someone reckoned to be one of the fastest spinners in the world - Dan Mousley.1 -
With half the 1st team missing in May due to exams, Rilee will need to step up. I can't tell you why that might be a problem, but hopefully it will sort itself out. It's his own making, that's for sure! Div 3 is an open division this year, but Chisles have lost their best 2 bowlers. They have a new captain too, so who knows how the season will start. I'm doing their final preseason game on Ssturday, vs Harvel, so will have a better idea after that.Addick Addict said:

Myles Davis of Penkridge CC in their Premier Division fixture in the South Staffordshire League County League against Pelsall, took six wickets in six balls on Saturday. In the process Pelsall, chasing 169 to win, went from a relatively comfortable 49-2 to 52 all out!
