I would love us to just go a 4-4-2 which can be adapted to the back 5 if needs and allows TC to play in his best position with godden n dykes

               Mannion
    Ramsay jones bell chambers
    clarke/fev doc/jrc coady TC
              Godden dykes

Though believe Carey starts as does tc up top going 1-1

Really worried for this one. Fear the results prior to our match will go against us. I just cannot see scoring and overall.our record at Hillsborough is not great. Its going to happen isn't it? 2-0 to Sheff Weds, not even close.

If we don’t win this one we are probably going to be relegated. Other results will go against us probably as well.

I’m not going back to shitty  league one.  That will be it for me.

Blackburn losing this evening would ease the nerves slightly
I’ll be watching.  Hopefully Coventry will go there and play with a bit of freedom.  They’re up, they should be champions and I think Blackburn fans will get very nervous if Coventry take the lead

keeping them below us with 2 games in hand is a big psychological plus for us

Sense a bit of a shake up and use of wiser heads for this must win game. Think it will pay off but be nervy - 2-1 to the Addicks

    Ramsay
    Burke
    Jones
    Bell
    Chambers
    Coady
    Docherty
    Berry
    Godden
    TC

Subs: Kaminski, Clarke, Sichenje, JRC, Coventry, Carey, Dykes, Leaburn, Kelman

coady and doc in midfield on their own makes me feel a bit sick

A little nervous about this one. Needed to get a win over the last few weeks to make it safe then tomorrow we could play with a bit of freedom. I cant see us getting anything from Ipshit or Hell so that really puts the pressure on us tomorrow. Shef Wendies have been showing more fight in recent weeks than expected. We struggle when we are expected to make the play rather than let teams come at us - but the onus will very much be on us to make something happen - selection will need to reflect that, we will need players who are good on the ball. I'm gonna miss the match as am at a wedding so will be pissed and hopefully the inevitable disappointment wont affect me too much.

    Mannion
    Clarke Ramsay Jones Bell TC
    Cov
    Knibbs JRC
    Dykes Kelman

I know people dont like TC at wing back but SW wont be putting us under sustained pressure, they will be looking to hit us on the break so he can form a front 3 when on the ball but has the pace to recover if SW break away. Effectively a return to the lop sided 352 we played last year but on the other side with TC in the Small role. I'm hoping Knibbs is fit so we can play him and JRC as dual 8's in mindfield. That is imo the best option for us doing something with the ball in CM. Cov there to mop up interceptions. If Knibbs isnt fit for 60 mins then Carey can do that role. Kelman up top for his finishing and Godden to come on as early as his fitness allows.

Need the win if we are to stay up in my view. Need to sustain or increase our cushion from the bottom 3.

Feeling sick already. I think Jones will keep it tight and look to nick a goal. Charles is a decent keeper for them and has been their best player recently.

Can't see us losing. Think we will get a 1-1 draw. Wouldn't say its a must win game. Certainly a must not lose.

We don’t win must win games and IMO, This is a MWG …
  • I'm dreading this game! Going from Manchester to Sheffield, not a bad route. I was at the game when we went two nil down, then Sordell scored a hattrick. Can't remember any other significant wins away at Wednesday. Just hope we don't get our belly tickled, as it is often the Charlton way!

I recommend that you prepare yourself emotionally for Berry's upcoming start.
You watch him jog on and score a wordly off his shin from the halfway line  for the winner.

Blimey, glad it wasn't some of you storming the beaches of Normandy, or fighting for our great country in general, we would be bang in trouble!

At the end of the day, this game won't make or break our season, we won’t be down if we lose this! Cheer up ffs.

Plenty of points to play for and it wouldn't surprise me if we don't beat these and then go on to smash the two better sides at home, that would be very Charlton.

As long as the boys make an effort, I'll be happy. Grateful we have been apart of a fantastic Championship campaign, and if it's our last one for another 5 years, so be it.

Would rip my arm, leg, ear, & cock off for a draw, these aren't no mugs at home and can beat anyone on their day.

    Safe travels all.
