Chances are the gap will be down to 3 points going into the last game of the season with Oxford tails up.

How many games this season have we scored more than 1 goal?

Just hope TC and Matty Godden aren’t too badly injured. We need them if we are to claim another point this season.

Tbf I’m putting a fair bit of this on the ref. Any other ref and we’d have been fine. That man was doing his utmost to ignore every foul against us.

A lot of negativity on here and understandably after how we’ve done in the run-in but I thought we played okay? . Started positively , battled hard but ultimately we just don’t have the quality.
Doch and Fevrier very good tonight
macca needs to be moved on
First half yes - second half was awful.

Shite, another few days of uncertainty.

now relying on Oxford to slip up.

We should’ve never been in this position.

This just isn’t true? Play like the first half on Saturday and we’ll get a point at least
    I bet you we don’t .

This was the table after Boro... How on earth are we the only club outside the bottom 3 still with a chance of going down!?

So tempting to put on an insurance bet to force us to stay up.

Is that 4 games in a row now we've thrown away a winning position?

Lost because of one moment of madness from a player who shouldn’t be anywhere near our team
That and a clumsy challenge on TC that went unpunished. The loss of width really hurt us second half

If we manage to stay up - and suspect that’s in Oxford’s hands not ours - we need a fairly substantial overhaul in the summer. Too many of the squad not good enough for this league. To be honest, not sure the manager is either. On that cheery note, we go again Saturday
If we stay up without gaining any points out of our next two then Jones has to go imo

    Positives........

    Doc
    Fevrier
    Millwall dropping down to 3rd.

    Negatives......

Our inability to score more than once. I believe that's the 4rh game in our last 5 that we've taken the lead and not gone onto win. Worse still, in all those 4 matches we failed to score a 2nd goal

We are joint 2and worst goalscorers with Oxford. Only Sheff Wed have scored less goals than us.

If we go down it will because we cant score. End of.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day and you sir are correct! You're still a broken clock, but bask in the glory that you're right about how shit we are!

Gillesphey brought us up and now he might have a hand in taking us back down.

    Useless prick.
Dont agree, but no need to call him a prick. He was the reason we’re in the division and that free kick means he’s always going to be a legend at the club.
Seems like a lovely bloke and always tries but he’s just nowhere near good enough. He’s literally the reason we’re in this position. That series of games where we had him at LCB and Campbell LWB really cost us, plus that performance tonight. Just tragic that he’s been asked to play.
I'll call him a prick because a professional footballer shouldn't make a challenge like that in a game as important as this. He was also on a yellow card.

We were containing Ipswich and whilst I couldn't guarantee they wouldn't have scored at some point, least they would have earned it and not have it given to them.

I doubt leaving Godden on that long would've helped.

Dipped in and out as it's too painful to watch these days.
One thing that continues to astound me is just how naive this squad of players are.
It's the one thing I really didn't expect from a Jones side

Diabolical substitutions, and lack of energy from the bench…

    NJ at fault.

extremely poor. We rely on other teams yet again

    Been here before,
You know exactly what is going to happen.

Charlton sleep walking into league 1

For the love of god, we do not want Millwall to have nothing to play for in terms of position on the last day, because I see Oxford beating Sheff Wednesday.

Doesnt help we lose Campbell, we were terrorising them on both flanks, despite assurances on here that TC was doing nothing.
Once again TC isn't around and those who say he does f**k all, question why we're now less of a threat going forward.
That’s not me at all. I’m a fan of TC - you can glance through his thread to see that. He was a loss - but even if he was injured (I assume was) - was Dykes really the best change to make there?

So what were the correct Substitutions...
Am seeing this a lot already, but who do you replace TC with, to match his pace and energy at HT?
The lack of energy has to be down to the individual coming on, rather than Jones... The fact that grown adults on here, find a way to excuse Footballers from understanding what they themselves need to do, when they become involved is just ludicrous... Do you think Jones needs to stand outside the loo as well going: "Right you see that white paper... you use that to wipe your arse" seeing they need such help to cope in life?
