If Kaminski wasn't tarred with the brush about his wages, he'd feature in more top 3s.

He's been the keeper for 90% of our season and we've let in far fewer goals than those around us, keeping loads of clean sheets too. That's a combination of the defence and keeper but he's played a vital part in it
He’d definitely be more appreciated than he is but still wouldn’t be in for top 3 shouts probably top 5.

If we break down stats yes 11 is a very good clean sheet number, but he’s also 15th for save percentage, 11th for saves per 90, 18th for goals prevented, ranks bottom half for sweeping and claims. That’s not saying he’s been a bad keeper in the slightest he’s been decent not amazing not awful but being average doesn’t get you top 3 POTY, unless you’re Terrell Thomas in the worse Charlton squad in history

I'd be disappointed to see TK back between the sticks at the start of next season

Again. The thing about Kaminski is that he’s not a big change / step up on Mannion.

Those who believe they know fees paid / salary earnt say  he was a large part of our transfer budget.

On that basis he isn’t great value.
HE IS MUCH BETTER THAN MANNION WHO IS ADEQUATE SQUAD KEEPER.
I wouldn’t say he’s ‘much’ better than Mannion, there’s not much in it to be honest.
On their respective day’s, both have given pretty decent performances IMHO and I am quite happy to see either of them between the sticks.
So @Radostanradical you effectively saying Nathan Jones has got it wrong by playing Mannion last couple of games when Kaminski was back fit?

    Yes.

Well well well, you all laughed at me. Well your not laughing now. A smaller man than myself would say I told you so but I take no pleasure in being right.

All I will say is I put forward a opinion that I felt was correct others detracted said opinion and proclaimed the opposite but gift of time has proven my point of view correct.

Needless to say I have had the last laugh.

Since when did POTY awards start getting given to players when the other player in that position makes an error?

If so Edwards is going to have a field day.

Kaminski like all footballers should be judged on their performances not how good/bad their replacements are

He did indeed cock up yesterday. Just shows Kaminskis influence I guess 😉😆

Joking aside I’d be surprised if Jones drops him for Monday notwithstanding.

Looks like the right decision to me. Jones was absolutely indispensable all season. I don't believe there's any way we would have stayed up without his monumental efforts. Carey provided the most goals and most of the small handful of 'wow' moments, but wasn't consistent enough to win. Campbell ran himself into the ground and did whatever the manager asked of him, frequently being double-marked and often the only player with any speed. Unfortunately he ran out of steam towards the end but he was still Mr Flexible. Well done to all three. Good decision - the wisdom of crowds, eh.

For the last third of the season Greg Docherty would’ve run Lloyd Jones close(r) but Jones has been our outstanding player, and in my view there isn’t a better centre half in the division.

agreed on both counts - docherty has been exceptional for the last half a dozen games but we still need an upgrade there
