  • Brilliant performance and massive relief. That is a serious achievement of a season and I'm buzzing we'll be playing in the champ again next year. Lots to be improved on which is exciting to think about, but so much credit to the club, players, NJ and fans for getting it over the line.

Got it done in style too, two goals of absolute quality and a performance generally that deserved the win. Was great to see more balls in behind for CK to chase, made him look a completely different player. Fevrier an absolute menace. So much energy and endeavour in the team.

A few small lowlights with a couple of Kaminski errors around some otherwise great play from him, and Clarke continuing to convince me that he is not the answer for us after this season. Luckily we were only punished the one time for our mistakes and we got the job done.

Fantastic work from everyone, I f*cking love this club.

So the R is a negative number, I assume
    The R number is redundant.

A negative R number actually means we have a couple of points spare that we can sell to the highest bidder*. Should help kickstart the summer transfer kitty!

*probably best not to sell them to Oxford though!

I bet TC was spitting blood when Fev didn't release him for a clear third in the last minute...🤦‍♂️
I think he may have strayed off side earlier in the move, but I don't really know the off side law so forget I said that.
Fev was knackered, I don’t know how he managed to run that far.  I think any pass would have been cut out by the defender, just like the shot.
The only option for a pass was at the every outset when in the charlton half. The second we were in their half TC was offside for the whole move until the very last moment when a pull back was possible.

What a day, great win and two great goals.
Ditch the long ball to a lump and look what can happen.

The look and tears my 9 year old boy had at the final whistle, pure joy.
That’s why we love football, a rollercoaster of emotions over a season.

Half our fans will want to sell them to the scum to make sure they’re involved in the automatics  ffs

  • I thought we played very well and some of the players that haven't had a lot of game time like Knibbs and Fevrier really shone.  The victory was deserved and on we go to the second season.

I then thought NJ spoke excellently afterwards. No cliches, just praise for players, owners etc.  we do seem to be in a good space personnel wise behind the scenes.  Hopefully this summers recruitment can be a real step upwards and we can push for mid table next season.

Good point on Knibbs, Athletico, I thought he was a handful for Hull to deal with, might be close to his best performance for us.

I felt we played ok against Ipswich. It is just they have players who can pass through a press. Our press anyway. Hull are more bog standard attritional team and I think we played them well. Their goal could have had a bad effect on us but Nathan's subs were positive and we absolutely deserved the win. Well done, it automatically becomes a succesful season given our budget and the fact we went up via the play offs. Now it is all about our summer recruitment. I suspect quality will be more important than quantity.

Beautiful behind the scenes footage from the Battleship as it sails back along the Thames, off on another journey

Surely the heads should be the other way around?
My childish sense of humour thought it would be funny having Nathan in front

Don’t worry, Millwall can’t afford these point. Couple of blokes in Hollywood may be interested however!

That was a very enjoyable day from the Hull supporters at London Bridge discussing who they were playing at Wembley, to watching the best two goals I’ve seen at the valley for quite a time. Our defending sometimes looked a bit chaotic but I think that’s just Jones style, apart from their goal I can’t remember much from Hull , some hopeful shots that never really troubled.
I didn’t stay for the lap of appreciation it took far to long but I did notice the kids having a kick about spent more time in the six yard box than their dads did all season. I retired to the Oak instead for a couple of hours drinking in the sun. Perfect day.

It might have been an off day but I did find it quite odd that for a play off chasing team none of them made me go “I’d love to have him”. Gelhardt is the obvious one but he had a shocker

That sub who came on in the second half at RW (the one who looked like a ex-member of Kool and the Gang), he looked pretty dangerous.
  • A fantastic win and a good end to a successful season.
I liked the way that we tried and succeeded to play a bit more football through the midfield.
I realise that we need some more Champ quality in there next year.
I think, watching that, that if we could get two players in of enough experience and quality who can pick the ball up and turn with it in midfield we would a lot more successful going forward with the players that we already have.
    Sign Fevrier up!
Also, if Clark will not be enough, a quality replacement at RWB.
We are not going to be able to replace
That many but I reckon with these additions we would start to see much improvement in Kelman and TC and the others around them like Knibbs and Carey. It would also take the constant pressure off of our defenders.
L.Jones should have his wages doubled after his efforts this year!
Onwards and upwards to mid table next season.
Well done to the entire squad and NJ for the hard work and commitment in this first season back where we belong.

Phew finally got over the line. much improved performance. I must admit i didn't think we would make it. Went to both Hull games and didn't think there was much between the two teams, but shows we need to invest in this squad in order to achieve our next step of being a safe mid table side before moving on.

    Thrilled at the result

But maybe more thrilled that today is likely the last time I have to hear 'Tottenham away ole ole' sung at the valley
Glad I’m not the only one who’s had enough of this! Was funny for a one off, but 3 times a game?

    Spurs offer 3000 away seats.
    Got your season ticket yet?
If not and you are wanting to go I would suggest reaching out to those you know who have one now.
After all, it could be the first game of the season.

Kaminski 8 excellent handling under extreme pressure
Collins S 5 struggled from the start might have seen a red card so going off made us stronger
    Jones 7 strong performance
    Gilliesphey 7 better performance
Clarke 5 disappointing at fault for hull first goal even through it was also a foul on Kaminski
Fev 8 excellent unlucky not to get MOM
    Doc 7 another captains performance
    Carey 5 again disappointing
Knibbs 7 proper pre season going to be a key player next season
Kelman MOM 9 not just the goal but his overall work rate never stopped chasing and pressing
Coady 8 been an excellent signing like to keep him for another 12 months but his comments about his wife and kids moving to London seems extremely unlikey  plus he on 28k at Wrexham and we only paid 14k of his wages
Burke 7 very good and gave us that extra experience

Just watched the highlights and for me that was absolutely pathetic from Kaminski for their goal. Yes there was a slight tug on his shirt but not enough for him to flap as he did and go to ground like that. I’m not even sure that would have been overturned by VAR.
He was being pulled back and it prevented him from moving freely. Nothing pathetic about it.

    I agree.
He tries to pull away, and when the player lets go he over balances. Without the pull it would have been an easy save.

Looking at the highlights, Gelhardt's finishing did not look like a £10m valued player who has 14 goals this season. Jees!

Did think at the time that Kaminski has obviously had some dance training.

His pliéétendrereleverglisser into a sauter, élancer, and tourner were top notch.

Why didn't one you bastards in the lower not chuck a bouquet at him at least.  I gave him a 9!
