According to one news source from another Kent forum, we are signing James Taylor on loan. Not the former England batter or the singer/songwriter of the same name but the Surrey seamer and younger brother of Tom who this week took six wickets against us this week for Worcestershire. Overall stats aren't great but he did return figures of 20-2-79-2 against Warwickshire this season. Beggars can't be choosers!
    This has now happened

Taylor has been added to the squad for Gloucestershire and presumably will play in place of Milnes as only on loan for two matches

Straight choice between Parkinson and Cohen for the last place .  Not a good attack really .

They might choose to play both and leave Jas out given he's played more games than the rest of the bowlers bar Dudgeon.

Does that mean Jas can play for Bexley tomorrow?

Very green wicket. Ball is doing a fair bit. Need to make the most of this opportunity

Give him an hour,  I'm sure we will break him soon enough.

Probably unlikely because they only have 13 players in Bristol and with subs now being used like confetti, Kent aren't going to be sending him back.

96-1 (28) at lunch. To be fair, all the bowlers performed fairly consistently without having too much luck.

Two wickets already. The management will be asking, "You got a friend?"

His brother Tom was the leading wicket taker in the country last season for Worcestershire

And Taylor takes a sixth wicket to return 23.1-9-52-6. Rarely can a loan signing made such an initial impact for us.

    325 all out

The bad news is that we have to bat tonight!

Confirmed. There is nothing worse for an opener to have to face half a dozen or so balls before the end of play.

Given Gloucs were 144-1 I think we would all have taken 325 but, there again, we know how fragile our batting can be.
