It's been the case since VAR was introduced. If there's a borderline decision it'll go the way of the "big" team.lordromford said:
I’m no conspiracy theorist, but I’m getting more and more irritated by how true this seems to be.Briston_Addick said:If that incident had been the other way round with Arsenal scoring the goal, it would have been allowed to stand as it wasn't enough contact, just piss-weak goalkeeping.
VAR operates to benefit the top teams.3 -

A lot of people said Liverpool fans would be insufferable if they won the league, I never really got it with them. Arsenal fans on the other hand are another level. Also think that north London forever song is very wanky11

Add Trossard and Havertz to that.O-Randy-Hunt said:Arteta is such a cock.
Balls still pinging round the penalty area and Havertz runs AWAY from the area with his hands in the air to harass the ref (wanker) for a pen.

It was a foul on the keeper.
Don't care how much people hate Arsenal on here or want Spurs relegated, that was a foul on Raya.

They're all the same in the prem - 90% tourist types who know f'call about the clubs they claim to followCafctekkers said:A lot of people said Liverpool fans would be insufferable if they won the league, I never really got it with them. Definitely a foul, and I’m pretty sure Raya would have caught the ball cleanly were it not for the foul.soapboxsam said:It was a foul on the keeper.

The lack of consistency is annoying - the refs have (wrongly) been allowing holding and wresting in the penalty area all season.MrBurns said:Fuck Arsenal. They do that to everyone else on Corners2 -
PGMOL giving points to a club who decided in 2021 they no longer wanted to be in the Premier League.
All 50/50 decisions should go against the super League clubs as punishment4 -

You’re probably right of course, but VAR has let worse go before. I think that’s what’s so annoying.soapboxsam said:It was a foul on the keeper.

"North London forever"
Except from when the club was founded.....5 -
Because he's been touched, don't make it a foul (or maybe it does in this day and age), but even so, there were two otner clear infringements before that, which should've resulted in a penalty, if they insist on looking for somethingsoapboxsam said:It was a foul on the keeper.

So many fouls going on at the same time mostly against hammers, why pick that one.4

Of course he would have.se9addick said:

If Pablo wasn't there with his arm across him fouling him, he wouldn't have dropped the ball.0 -
Everyone seems to be talking like the title is wrapped up. A shame Burnley are so poor, but you never know…Come on Burnley!
And also…Spurs fans today were reluctantly cheering Arsenal on.
Is it possible that in a couple of weeks we’ll be cheering on…eurgh, I can’t even stomach saying it…P****e?0 -
Apparently PalARSE pick up another £10m in transfer fees if Arsenal win the league from the Eze deal.lordromford said:Everyone seems to be talking like the title is wrapped up. A shame Burnley are so poor, but you never know…Come on Burnley!

He wasn’t just touched was he? one player was holding his arm and another player was pulling his shirt. Definite foul and the Ref was strong enough to give it. Your bias shouldn’t blind you to that fact. BYW I can’t stand Arsenal.Gribbo said:

BTW - Dont care too much for the West ham, Arsenal or the Prem in general for that matter, just found myself watching it this afternoon and thought the decision was a load of bs0 -

It’s games like that and modern fans like Arsenal fans that mean I’d be quite happy sat mid-table in The Championship for eternity playing mildly entertaining football and retaining our identity.

It was definitely a foul on Raya, the West Ham guy was basically holding his arm. VAR has ultimately decided a title race there though because Arsenal will easily win both their last 2 games.1

Absolutely this, it's real it's genuine, it's ours. The Red Robin said:It’s games like that and modern fans like Arsenal fans that mean I’d be quite happy sat mid-table in The Championship for eternity playing mildly entertaining football and retaining our identity.
Have no desire whatsoever to get back into the Prem, maybe just me ultimately but what would be the point?3 -
It ain't just decided the title race, it's more than likely sent West Ham downChris_from_Sidcup said:It was definitely a foul on Raya, the West Ham guy was basically holding his arm. VAR has ultimately decided a title race there though because Arsenal will easily win both their last 2 games.2 -
Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth, Sunderland and Leeds for example are examples of clubs retaining their identity. Even Man Utd's core group of fans come across like genuine, knowledgeable fansEugenesAxe said:

Arsenal are an odd club, their fanbase is a mix of being soulless and constantly bitter and angry. Plus they have a very unlikeable manager and style of play.
I'd much rather Charlton stay like we currently are than ever turn into Arsenal0 -
This. If it takes numerous views and five minutes it isn’t a clear and obvious error for me. Should be three looks, thirty seconds max and if you can’t decide then go with the onfield decision. The Red Robin said:Football is so broken. If it takes that long to try to find something to disallow a goal, just give it.6 -
West Ham needed a win, not a point. If they don't win at Newcastle they are almost certainly gone.Gribbo said:

Away at struggling Newcastle, then home against a Leeds side with nothing to play for.Gribbo said:

If Spurs don't beat Leeds, then they can definitely be caught. Chelsea always play better against "bigger " sides, while Everton may still be chasing Europe .1 -
Felt obvious to me as soon as you saw the arm across the chest and grabbing the keeper’s arm.LargeAddick said:

I don’t think the ref had a clear view of it, every goal is checked for any fouls, and I just don’t think refs can see everything in a penalty area. So seems a good decisionLargeAddick said:
