Mr Sullivan can’t be a wrong un he must of passed the fit and proper person test to be allowed to be involved in football.
I am led to believe that the test is a rigorous investigation of a person’s background.

    Financial background

They check for dishonest earnings rather than immoral.

I suspect that isn't even close to the worst of it. What made him resign was the Panorama/Times investigation and none of that is out yet

To tease nudity of kids is horrible, call me sheltered, but I can't believe any publication did that in the 80s and 90s, I expect it will get worse. But that is beyond my comprehension.

What the hell were the poor girls parents doing while allowing this to all go on?

    Probably banking the cheques.

I remember all of that and as someone who is younger than lindsey Dawn mackenzie I felt what they were doing with her was grubby as anything and made me think of noncey double glazing salesmen

That was in the mainstream so I don't think I want to know what he was doing when he had these girls in an enclosed space waving a cheque under their nose

Sullivan did not elaborate on the accusations he is facing, but said: “After a lifetime spent building businesses in the adult industry, in which I have met thousands of women, it is sadly inevitable that a small number of improper conduct claims are being made against me.”

No it isn't inevitable that a small number of improper conduct claims be made against him, no smoke without fire.

Sadly I dont think anything will happen to him. Too long ago & no evidence. It will come down to "she says, he says" and as there are no witnesses I doubt very much the CPS will take it any further.

As with Weinstein and Epstein I suspect there will have been witnesses and enablers, no doubt plenty more to come out on this one…

Wouldnt be at all surprised to find out that pimping out girls of questionable age was a part of some peoples' immoral earnings

I remember the Natalie Banus countdown to 16 story at the time. It's grubby but nothing illegal at the time (other than the slightly awkward maths that someone appearing topless on their 16th birthday would have had to pose when 15 years and 364 days old...)

What's coming out in the Panorama story is way worse. The surprise being that when "me too" started happening 10 years, Sullivan wasn't exposed back then.

The same was true of the Max Clifford case and he was convicted.

I’ve just watched it and no doubt he’s a wrong un. But there wasn’t much in that programme that will get him arrested.

Agreed.  I thought it was very poor and unfortunately I think with expensive lawyers,  he will get off.

Sleezebag but nothing in that investigation is going to trouble the crown prosecution service
  • Think this could be the tip of the iceberg and this was all they can legally say for now.

Not sure it's the BBC's job to get him arrested. If it means more people are aware of his behaviour, it's a success

Just watched it and thought it was a crap Panorama to be honest.
“Rich guy who made money from porn gets women to come to his mansion, requests sexual favours for a leg up in the industry.”

    hardly surprising

there MUST be more and the legal folk are thrashing out just how much gets released.

hes made a billion from smut so will spend loads to reduce the impact and disappear from public view to live out his retirement.

Panorama being shown before the watershed would suggest a bit of time being bought

Not as damming as I thought it would be, suggests that there’s more to come for him to resign.
