My wife pointed out that the garage roof was covered in water this morning after the storms last night. So out with the ladder and a stick to unblock the drain hole. No joy, the blockage was down further than my stick could reach. So joined two sticks together and about six foot down I could feel the blockage, a few good shoves and suddenly its like the sluice gates have been opened on Hoover Dam. Most satisfying!.....

...... I think I need to find myself a hobby!

Not as bad as fly tipping, but in a similar vein, bloke with no rod licence out fishing near my mate today got caught by the environmental agency, £2500 fine apparently.

Celine Dion has already won it. She was the Swiss entry early on in her career.

I cycled a very unfit 58 miles today, Plumstead to Rochester and back. My feet were burning and my legs saying no, but I drove it home. My longest cycle in a very long time.

Just downloaded it as there was a lot of bird noise coming from the garden. We have a lot of Corvids that visit and I suspected that the call was from a Jackdaw, but wanted to confirm. It had been making a racket for ages, but as soon as I put my phone outside to check with the app, it stopped. :/

I do know what a Jackdaw looks like, but it wasn't visible.
