I see Leee John a lot and often dine with him.
I was meeting Gary Crowley (BBC Radio DJ) for lunch with his ex-girlfriend and Paul Weller happened to be there too. Gary knows Paul well and he introduced me to him and his friends. Coincidentally, I was listening to Weller’s latest album the day before in the gym and was intrigued that one of the covers included the Bee Gees song “I started a joke”. Paul has an encylopedic knowledge of the Beatles.

Seeing Leee John mentioned by someone reminded me that we went to his 40th birthday party.
I think that only happened in your Imagination...
no shurely its either a "flashback" or just an illusion.

Giles Martin (the music producer and son of sir George Martin) showed myself and the wife with 8 Americans around Abbey Road studios, very nice bloke and interesting he chatted to us for over 4 hours and even took a phot of us crossing the famous zebra crossing. Was a fantastic day. Meet many other people mostly sound engineers, unfortunately no one was recording but the studio was being set up for a recording in a couple of days time.

Princess Anne back in the 80's. She was visiting the sweet factory next door to my special school in Tottenham. I had my class of kids lined up on the pavement in the pouring rain, in their macs and under umbrellas. She turned up late in a massive Rolls Royce, stepped out of her car and said some kindly words to my kids and then almost snarled at me, "Get them inside for goodness sake."
I was well behaved and kept my anti-royalty inclinations under tight control. She was classy though.

All the Tottenham players in the Glen Hoddle era. Steve Perryman was great and got Spuds shirts for the school. But Chris Hughton was out of this world. He would get the kids tickets for evening games and meet them as they got out of the van!

Henry Cooper! Wonderful guy. Would visit the school at the Xmas party.

I believe so. I joined in Sept 1978 and left in 1984.
I wonder if any of the pupils became famous or well known during our time.

The closest i can think of was my mate Joe Francis who was on our books for a while but never made the first team. Had a pretty decent non-league career, starting at Welling. Works as part of the Charlton academy now.

There was a guy called Tim Attree in the year above me who was choirboy of the year in the early 80’s and was on the Wogan show.

The band ‘Five Star’ went to my school.
Delroy was in the year above me.
Not particularly nice or nasty people. Pretty dull if I’m honest.
