Yep, they're a different class, Vini looks up for it. Calculators required in Scotland
You have got to be a really shit team to not qualify for the next stage, so much so those teams that don’t go through to the next stage should get a medal. Scotland already have 3 points so they are as good as through already.

First really shit performance from a referee I thought watching the Scotland highlights
Morocco lucky they didnt get a Red Card for the foul on Adams, not really any different to the Red Card Leicester received against us at the King Power, and then thought it should have been a clear penalty on McGinn, the McTominay one less so
Never mind though, they'd be laughing at us
Luckily they had Haiti in their Group, and that win SHOULD see them through as one of the 3rd placed sides, as cant see them getting a result vs. Brazil and will equally need to be careful of their Goal Difference. Of those currently in the third place spots, basically everyone has a point, and apart from Czechia (who have Mexico) you can see them all winning a game to take them above Scotland, so can see it being a very nervy wait for them.

I didn't mind the ref in the Scotland game, but it seems odd in a micro managed football world of referee accessors and VAR, where a ref's interpretations of the rules can be so different from other referees.

The way bbc news is reporting the Scotland result is a bit baffling to me.
They're saying things like ‘they haven’t hit their stride yet’, and ‘disappointing result and performance’ but there’s an undertone of expecting to have won rather than hoping to.
I’m not sure what they expected against Morocco? Did they expect to just sweep them aside or something? Morocco are ranked 35 places above Scotland. This isn’t the 1980s when Morocco and other African countries were minnows making up the numbers.
Morocco weren’t the underdogs here, Scotland were.

Seemed to have forgotten that Morocco were fourth at the last World Cup.

Agreed. If anything, I was more disappointed in Morocco than Scotland. Morocco were poor in the first half, and would have been kicking themselves if they conceded an equaliser.

Might be using AI and not someone with a) football knowledge; and b) a sense check if the sentence(s) read like BS.

That is a new low for Turkey. Every single World Cup it feels like they disappoint with a decent squad.

Guler, Yildiz, Calahognu are all big names at decent clubs. They shouldn’t be losing to Australia or a 10 man Paraguay.

Will be interesting to see how the Australian/Paraguay game plays out now. I have a feeling we might see a 0-0

Imagine needing a goal in the WORLD CUP and having to rely on Lyndon Dykes, you’d just give up wouldn’t you.

I’m talking about the reporting on tv this morning, not an article.

McTominay didn't want to pass to him, that's for sure.

I like Dykes' bright white boots, they made him very easy to pick out instantly

Touch and go if they get clobbered by Brazil.
    16 teams go back home.

Get thrashed and we’re out, lose by only one goal and we’re probably through.

Scotland to lose 2-0 to Brazil, the 2nd goal in the 96th minute meaning they go out on goal difference...

and that wasn't just an outlier of a performance like Denmark in '92, it was deserved and they've continued at that level. the Scotland result saw Morocco jump above Brazil to 5th in the world rankings, albeit briefly as Brazil took  the spot back a couple of hours later

Euro ‘96. England smashed the Dutch 4-1, Kluivert got the 1 right at the death and it put Scotland out.

This is the first time they’ve qualified since 2002!

Ok thanks for that, that's a bit too far back for me to remember.

    Poor from me.

Same sentiment for Euro’s though tbf which they have been in recently.

The point being they have a pretty talented squad, they should never be getting turned over by Paraguay and Australia who are relative minnows.

Always find the second and third matches really humble teams.

Despite their attacking quality, Sweden aren’t much of a side.

Can have that front 2 all they want but there's not a lot else to that Swedish side. Ayari is a tidy player but that's about it.
