Shame, that would have made the second half a bit more interesting.

Pretty poor that none of the swedes got into an onside position at any point for the free kick. No chance of scoring there if you don’t get that right.

I hope Netherlands play in their change strip more as the tournament progresses. Their orange is so extreme I’m finding watching them quite painful!

3-0 - three identical goals. When are Sweden going to learn how to prevent and defend crosses across their six-yard box.

I prefer goal difference as the main tiebreaker than head to head.

Fear there are gonna be a few dead runners in game three where the top place is already determined due to the head to head result

Ludicrous format for this WC - far too many teams and qualifying three teams from a group of four kills the level of competition.

  • Pretty desperate from Sweden - can't defend.

Couldn't get out of their own half for the bulk of it, Potter really has been sussed

Did think Sweden's win v Tunisia had more to do with Tunisia being absolutely terrible.

I can’t believe Germany has left out Harry Kane and playing Havertz instead 😉

I mean they had 16 shots. Thought they were okay going forward but defensively all over the shop.

32 was such a good number of teams. Enough to make it a proper global tournament, but not too many to make it completely bloated.

8 groups of with just the top 2 going through, so far more jeopardy in the final group games. Plus the chance of a proper group of death, with 3 excellent teams, one of which will get dumped out early.

That was probably a foul on the keeper but not sure there was enough contact for the keeper to go down and require treatment.......

So, what we saying about these "hydration breaks" then.

Seems to be increased booing at every game when the ref stops the game.

These colours are taking me back to the 1974 WC Final (and yes the Dutch wore white shorts).

So weird how Germany don’t produce world class centre forwards

What is it, 25 years since Klose

Enjoying this. Germany struggling to live with Cote d'Ivoire's physical game. Do expect them to score though

They need Woltemade to come good, or Beier, or one of the under 21s

Even all my Canadian friends and colleagues, who are very used to mid game ad breaks during Hockey and other televised sports, are pretty disgusted by it. It seems give universally unpopular but I doubt they’ll be dropped as we all know it’s about ad breaks and $$$$$ for FIFA, and that all they care about.

Feels like CIV will regret missing these chances, they've had enough to be 2 or 3 ahead
